Look at this nice 98/02 bayonet .I think the markings may be colonial DSWA .The marking are F S A 2.26. I think that is Feldsignalabteiling .It comes from a collection in Namibia and it is proofmarked W 02. I cannot for some reason upload photos today?
Looks like he is wearing a swastika armband and a brown shirt and sam brown belt .Clearly also an SA man in the 1930's .Should not be so difficult to indentify if you have the series on PLM bearers.
No have never seen a piece exactly like this .Have seen a piece with the wreath and swastika alone which must have been some kind of award piece I suspect .See attached photo
Unusual piece which does not look right .The middle disc within the wreath looks like an add on where a swastika should normally be..There is not a good picture of the eagle but it does rather look very plump.I would not buy it.
Just a further bit of info on strength of the Troops in DSWA according to the book "Die Geschichte des Deutschen Unteroffisiers "wriiten by Hauptmann a.D. Freiherr von Ledebur.

Boer war was from 1899 to 1902. Looked in my archives but could not find his name anywhere in Medal Role etc. This does of course not mean he was not there!
