    4. Thanks Kev, here we are.......... The documents belong to Robert Wagner, Born Knappendorf, Czechoslovakia , served SS-Heimwehr Danzig (Awarded SS Heimwehr Danzig Ehrennadel) wounded "Le Paradis" with the Totenkopf regiment

    9. Edward Nicholson Almond was awarded the British War medal and Victory medal having served in the 2/5th Bn. Notts & Derby R and the 1st Bn. Notts & Derby R. 2/5th BattalionFormed at Derby on 16 October 1914 as a second line unit.Moved to Luton in January 1915 and placed under command of 2nd Notts. & Derby Brigade in the 2nd North Midland Division.August 1915 : formation became the 176th Brigade, 59th (2nd North Midland) Division. Moved to Watford.Moved to Ireland in April 1916 to quell disturbances.Moved in January 1917 to Fovant and landed at Le Havre 26 February 1917.7 May 1918 : reduced to cadre. He died 19 April 1964
    10. No idea, never heard of them until seeing this uniform this morning, quick Google search has Roger Casement involved in trying to recruit a brigade.....hope someone has more information on them
    11. Recent visit to the military museum in Dublin, interesting uniform of the Irish legion of the German army appears the legion had 55 members.....I would guess rare would be an understatement anyone got any more details
    12. Timo, tough one if he has since died (and can prove it) you can do a freedom of information request for his documents

Captain Ronald William Leah's army number was 66177, his Prisoner of war number was 311, He was held at Oflag 1V-C Colditz, Saxony, Mentioned in dispatches 1st November, 1945, ( Escape and Evasion and Special Operations) Leah arrived at the castle on 2/6/43 and did not successfully escape so possibly his MiD was for evasion on capture? or maintaining contact with the SOE during capture?..... Capt. R. W. LEAH (66177) h.p. list (late Camerons) retires on retired pay on account of disability, 8th Feb. 1947.

Thanks Kev, I have his docs which detail his trial and post war comments but nothing on his WW1 service, I also have some of his post war archive, it appears all of his stuff was destroyed in an air raid in 1944.... Also a Google search under "Pohlmann" has a number of interesting comments with regards WW1, question is ...... is it my Pohlman or a Pohlmann
