    1. Thanks. Its a 1940s gas mask bag, standard WW2 kit early issue around dunkirk/BEF period.
    2. Does anyone recognise the abbreviations used in this item of kit - hoping to apply some form of provenance. Is BWB Black Watch Battalion? But then what is the I And what would 18H be? Thanks in advance
    3. Hello I have a IAB that was previously housed in an old photo frame. I've just come to remove it and clean it up and was looking for a maker mark - there isn't one. However, on cleaning it, it appears to be silver (or silver plate) as has polished and tarnish removed. Also, on the front where there is rubbing its possible to see what looks like copper underneath. I thought the vast majority of IAB were zinc based so wondered whether this is now not a period piece after all?
    4. Just before I bin this as a piece of tat!… Has anyone seen a buckle stamped GB (gustav brehmer) but with an odd wreath design? Thanks!

    6. Hello i have come across an iron x 2nd class that I thought looked okay - and reasonably priced. However, the ring is stamped 84 and according to what background I can find on the EKII Carl Polleath didnt make the iron cross. Unusual to fake this though but I cannot thing what else the ring may be from if its a put together Has anyone seen anything like this?
    7. Hi Can anyone assist with this signature. Its an EKII doc late 1943 to a soldier kia near Kiev. His VWA Schwarz doc is signed by a staff officer in AR 188 (his unit) but this doc appears to be a generalmajor and the stamp appears to contain SS (though that may be a misread) Im shrugging with the suetterin script on this one. First letter could be W?
    8. Gents/Ladies I tried this on Wehrmacht awards first (forgive me if thats a sin!) and opinions both differ and are unclear. To me this looks pretty good, holes exactly where they should, right hinge, hanger attached as expected Be grateful for your thoughts as it makes the difference between £50 and £500! Thanks in advance
    9. Part of a bulk lot of Third Reich militaria I purchased contained this... Silver coloured oval with central swastika above triangular wheat? Rear marked J B.U.Co Looking to find out what it represents, whether its real and if it has any value. Thanks in advance
