    1. I will give it a spin when I get time, seems a solid enough shell.
    2. Guys, It still smells of paint, I wonder how recently the previous owner decided to improve it and what lies beneath? The liner is complete and maker marked on a pad and the chin strap, I suppose someone could use the liner for a good shell? Jock:)
    3. No idea Chris the writing though looks to be by the same hand as the rest of the entries?
    4. Guys, As stated, I am going through them to try and post the more interesting but they are mixed with his holiday snaps as well. Jock:)
    5. just got a handfull of marine pictures today, mostly U-Boat related, I think this is the young lad while in training? Jock:)
    6. Guys, Some imperial bits and bobs with a job lot today? Not very profesionally mounted. Jock:)
    7. Guys, This was all there was today of an Imperial interest that was cheap and cheerful, to be fair it was a small market and I was very late at 1130ish. It is a much greener looking cover in real life! Jock:)
    8. I suppose things were a bit desperate in 1944 so they were targeting the kids at school no doubt with the glorification of war etc. Still a few nice pictures and I think the unshaven soldier in helmet looks very tired, perhaps reveals more than they would want to. I like the advert at the rear of the HJ vorschrift for the RZM! My favourite has to be the P.08 heft as you see copies all of the time but this one appears to be of the period.
    9. Guys, I said I would post this as it is another article from the same magazine with the AH WW1 EKM and Soldbuch. It appears to be a museum display of the office equipment and stamps that were used to found the NSDAP in it fledgling days, I wonder if it survived somewher since it was a catalouged display you would assume? Jock:)
    10. Glen, Have you researched all of your imperial and now moving to the dark side? I will print that out to share with the family, to be fair they were not that interested in the military aspect of his life but at the same time complained they couldn't find out much about him. I wonder what he was doing in Tubruk, they say he had a Doctorate in meteoroligy, I am sure he was not there as a weather man though as it would be too easy 'today it will be sunny'! What would the Waffenamt be doing there? Best Regards jock:)
    11. Hucks, couldn't make out the skribble, is that Tubruk at the end? Jock:)
    12. Dr Erich Hanke as far as these docs go but I think his birth certificate was amongst the paper they kept (none of it military) so I can check that as they live down the road.
    13. Don't know Don but there are a couple of interesting bits and bobs in the magazine, it shows the component parts of the orginal NSDAP office and it looks as if these items were preserved in a museum back in that time so there is a chance it is somewhere that no-one will see. I will post those pics in the TR paper area later. Jock:)
    14. BM, This site is very good, I am unable to post links so have done a screen shot, it details the recent repros of the badge. Brother James (Br James) on WAF was very helpful with mine but looking at the site in the picture I fear yours is not as expected, i will leave it to you to check it out. All the best Jock:)
    15. Don, It is copyright 1936. Illustrierter Beobachter, Adolf Hitler, Ein mann und Sein Volk. Verlag Franz Eher Nachf, munchen. It is the magaine with the spooky looking portrait, see picture. Jock:)
    16. Guys, Got a box of paper today and this amongst it. Thought you may enjoy the imperial aspect of the dark side, probably not news I know but it tickled me. Sure its been seen in some shape or form before but as this was A3 in size it gives pretty clear pictures (although reduced to post). I like the ID disc! Jock:)
    17. A very small one, this patriotic pin is about the size of a €0.02 cent. I could not see what was on it so had to clean it up just to read it, then noticed the hat badge. I have had to use the micrscope thing to get a picture. It was with the mixed bag of stuff the other day. Jock:)
    18. Guys, Got this unusual group today. The Dienstpass looks like a Reissepass in format only with the green cover? I have seen Ausweiskarte before but this is a new one for me, as is the kliederkasse id and the the above pass. Not often I get three thing I have never had but all in one group. Jock:)
    19. Tony, Sorry for delay, no it is still solid, I might try to tease it with a hammer and some brass drifts in order not to damage it. Its not a Lebel its another one(St Elienne Mle 1907_15) but I am swapping it this month with a member here as it is his sort of thing, I need to drive to South Germany though! To my eternal shame my wife found my best piece at a flohmarkt while I was mincing around looking at post cards, they do have an eye for stuff if you train them well! It was a German house clearance item not flee market. Cheers Jock:)
    20. Its on the home page right at the begining. Jock:)
