    1. Mervyn, Would you be interested in having it back home so to speak? I am struggling to get anything to Ricks NOK in the form of cash. I will cover any postage to SA if you make a fair contribution to Ricks fund if that is acceptable? No worries if it is not for you, so absolutely no pressure. If it is worth 150 quid by your reckoning how about £80 is that fair? Jock:)
    2. The picture is not that good so that does not help, you are probably right with that since I doubt it is military uniform with her hair all over the place. Cheers Jock:)
    3. Haven't seen that before, everyday is a school day, thanks for posting. Jock:)
    4. Peter, Cheers, my photography is sadly lacking and I hope there is enough to work with, this sort of thing is not normally my bag. Jock:)
    5. Flak! The rifles are ????l.Ers.Batl.I.R 173. The MG is 30/1/16 Saarlouis 2 (bahnhof)b Regards Jock:)
    6. A few of gods chosen men. The group is Foot Ary Bty 262 stamped on the reverse. Jock:)
    7. Right that's what I thought but Fahnen I thought was flag, saying that I can't spell in English so I have no chance in German. Thanks Jock:)
    8. Guys, These are from the pile of loose pics that I got with 5 albums earlier last week. Nothing fancy but I like the SS poster at the right of the Kantine shot and the woman what is she wearing and what cuffband? Jock:)
    9. Guys, What is this guys qualification, what is a flagsmith? Cheers Jock:)
    10. Guys, I suppose it is the same as the TR vorlaufer doc, These were together so I believe he must be on the picture somewhere, the text on the picture reverse is too difficult for me to read but was no doubt posted home? Jock:)
    11. Mervyn, You seem to know your stuff so can I run this past you. I found it in a skip so no worries if its junk, I thought tourist type thing? I just couldn't leave it since it looked both old and pointy, a combination I can't resist. Please excuse the dog hairs in the pictures the sky remote is for scale. Cheers Jock:)
    12. Alan, I can hardly write English so I trust the German speakers that state it is past tence, that aside as Chris hi-lights it is still quite interseting and obviously a labour of love for someone at some point. I think you need to try and establish if what is printed is fact because if it is it is still very useful for reference. You may be able to pick up the torch where someone had to let it go for what ever reason (look at the recent turn of events with Rick), could keep you busy for a while! Just a thought. Jock:)
    13. Chris, I prefer a pair of everything, even if they weren't issued in pairs. These are the last handfull of imperial boards I got, I don't think they qualify as pairs since they seem to have different types of numerals and devices. The grey ones are true pairs I suppose the last being Wiemar I guess. I take what ever I can find these days. Jock:)
    14. It is 44cm by 25cm, quite big, that is a standard keyboard just visible at the top. Jock:)
    15. Guys, What would be a fair price to ask for it, I intend to put up for the Rick Fund? Cheers Jock:)
    16. Thanks Andy, So it is a local piece then. Thanks again. Jock:)
    17. Thanks for the direction, I am near Hannover so I suppose its within boundries. I was thinking K might be Kiazerliche like H is Heers in the TR stuff but I know you guys know your stuff here (please ignore my spelling as I can't in English never mind German). Unuasual item to survive either way I think and some clown threw it in the spermull. Jock:)
    18. Guys, I posted this in another forum that has recently been taken down (hacked) with no response. Having a few TR bits of wood, is KU similar to HU? I think this is a military wooden kantine type plate any thoughts? I think it has been varnished at some point. Jock:)
    19. Guys, These are from a group of 5 albums I got on Monday to one family I beleive. It spans a time from around the early 1900s judging by the postage marks to 1960s. These are the more interesting of the imperial pics, I like the elaborate band uniforms and the 'jingling joni' pic. Regards Jock:)
    20. Guys, Would it be acceptable to add to this post my WW1 portrait finds rather than starting a new topic every time. As I am sure a few of you may know my focus is WW2 but I often turn up first war stuff, I also can spot the unusual on uniform pictures and will try and keep it to the more interesting. I know the most of you here are WW1 focused and take your hobby very seriously and hope that some of what I turn up may be of use to you. Alternately is there a specific area I have missed that is for this sort of post? Here are a couple from Monday, I am still going through it all and in the interest of sharing there are a couple of doubles at the top free to a good home, he looks like an artillery boy. I like the funny protective jackets on the soldiers at the bottom. Jock:)
