Guys, I doubt I will find any other variations on the theme as I am in Germany, both these found here. The latest is from a broken collection but the rusty one is a house clearance find and makes me wonder if it is a souvineer from the Channel Islands. Of course I will never know but I thought these were civil police items unlike MP or were there civil police over in Germany perhaps post war for re-training? Sadly there were no other military items German or British in the household. Jock:)

Hucks, It was just a thought as I can't remember what was on the list, community board stolen items heading or such like? I remember only that there were a few bits, no worries. I said I would keep an eye out for the lad that was all and it only caught my eye in the first place as it was local stuff that was nicked. Cheers Jock:)

Hucks, Before I was turffed from WAF there was a post about stolen IR77 stuff, it was posted in the appropriate forum and I commented that I would watch out for any local stuff (IR77), don't know if you are able to cross reference your items just in case, you never know these days, you can never be too vidulant. I am sure it is not related but I can't check myself. Best Regards Jock:)

Guys, This was with a mixed bag today. Very pointy, would definatley smart a bit. Soaking it in WD40 to see if I can free up the release catch as it may fit the rifle I have? Sadly no scabard! Jock:)

Guys, As stated above. Its a bit tired but its of the period, many you find are tampered with 1950s. Of note the open left cuff, officers often tucked official docs into the cuff, they right cuff is not open and is only for decoration. Sword/Dagger Hanger slot on left hand pocket. The general over engineering of the garment with individual snap stud closures to cover each button retaining ring. Fixtures for shoulder boards. Must have cost a few bob to buy them new! Jock:)

Hucks, I am no expert either but in the interwar years they produced lightweight helmets such as these for parade purposes (in both WW1 style and m35), like Chris states, in aluminium and in fibre. Note the line of the brim which is very uneven and the very forward facing rivets to secure the liner and lastly the chin strap looks like the sort on civil helmets that have a sliding double buckle affair. Chris, probably, but definately not standard issue? Do you like the Generals portrate? Jock:)

Guys, Not fancy and such a shame that these appear to have been removed from an album recently. I thought the WW1 ribbon bar fans may enjoy the genarals picture (Maj Gen Solroth???). The helmet the major is wearing just looks rubbish, maybe one of those fibre parade lids? Nice early insignia on the hats! Jock:)

Marcin, Yes, I will go with a G, I am not familiar with the WW1 EK markings and just wondered if it could have been a sloppy 9 or 6. You are the guys in the know! Chris it is very squeaky, are you happy with the ring stamp as it is so good looking I would have questioned it had it not been in a box? As you would expect though not much was spent! Jock:)
