    1. With much digging I have found three of the four: Korpsstabsveterinär a.D. Reinhard Körner 24.12.14 Korpsstabsveterinär d.L. Johannes Lübke 24.4.15 Generaloberveterinär d.L. Arthur Richter 26.8.17 The one which I thought would probably be the easiest, as he had a noble predicate, still eludes me! Korpsstabsveterinär a.K. v. Müller. Herr v. Müller died during the war but does not appear in the register of deceased nobles?? Incidentally I am also looking for the first name of Korpsstabsveterinär (G.) Pilz of Königsberg. The later Professor Pilz was formerly the Korpsstabsveterinär of I. Armeekorps in the 1890s. Regards Glenn
    2. Thanks Chris, I have Korpsstabsveterinär Max Kutzner: 17.2.14. Regards Glenn
    3. I have compiled a list of just over 100 veterinary officials/officers who held the rank of Korps-Roßarzt/Korpsstabsveterinär/Generaloberveterinär in the period from 1873 to 1919 and am still looking for the first names of four of the wartime promotions. Much appreciated if anyone can help: Korpsstabsveterinär a.D. Körner 24.12.14 Korpsstabsveterinär d.L. Lübke 24.4.15 Korpsstabsveterinär a.K. v. Müller 18.12.15 Generaloberveterinär d.L. Richter 26.8.17 Thanks Regards Glenn
    4. Chris, The order of battle for 107. Infanterie-Division in "Deutschlands Schirm und Wehr im alten und im neuen Heer" still shows R.I.R. 227 as still being under command on 21 March 1918. According to Hartwig Busche - in "Formationsgeschichte der deutschen Infanterie", the regiment was disbanded on 10 Sep 1918. Regards Glenn
    5. John, Herr Plessing's promotion to Oberleutnant der Reserve was gazetted in Edition 45 of the Militär-Wochenblatt in February 1915. Regards Glenn
    6. John Leutnant Plessing was promoted to Oberleutnant d.R. on 12.2.15 whilst serving on the staff of 35. Infanterie-Brigade. Regards Glenn
    7. Rittmeister der Reserve Ernst Frhr. v. Woellwarth-Lauterburg: Leutnant d.R: 18.10.04 D Oberleutnant d.R.: 20.11.13 Rittmeister d.R: 27.5.15 Regards Glenn
    8. R.I.R. Nr. 202 was formed in Berlin in October 1914 from the replacement battalions of Garde-Grenadier-Regiment Nr. 1 (I. Bat.), Garde-Grenadier-Regiment Nr. 2 (II. Bat.) and Garde-Grenadier-Regiment Nr. 4 (III. Bat.) Regards Glenn
    9. I am assuming this is your Herr Abel: commissioned as a Leutnant der Reserve in Kavallerie-Regiment Nr. 85 on 20.7.16. Regards Glenn
    10. Heiko, According to Generaloberst v. Einem's "Ein Armeeführer erlebt den Weltkrieg", Generalmajor v. Versen was still "Führer" of 56. Infanterie-Division on 2 November 1915. Regards Glenn
    11. Rick, just did a quick check in volume 9 of "Der Weltkrieg 1914-1918". In October 1915, Generalmajor v. Versen was standing in for the then sick Generalleutnant Leo Sontag, commander of 56. Division in the Champagne. Regards Glenn
    12. Trouble is; there were no late 1914 reserve commissions to any Freiherren v. Lüttwitz in the cavalry. There were actually two Rittmeister der Reserve Frhr. v. Lüttwitz in Grenadier-zu-Pferd-Regiment Freiherr von Derfflinger (Neumärkisches) Nr.3 in 1914 : The brothers Rochus and Ernst. Although the shoulder board is not clear, I think it must be one of these two. Regards Glenn
    13. Chris, check out Hartwig Busche's "Formationsgeschichte der Deutschen Infanterie im Ersten Weltkrieg (1914 bis 1918" published by Verlag für Preußische Historiographie, Owschlag, 1998. This also details the 600 series. Regards Glenn
    14. Chris, as there was no regular officer of the name Meyns in the Prussian Army, I believe young "Meyns" is Leutnant Carl Mayntz of RJB 5. Regards Glenn
    15. Here is Major v. Brandt. Stabsarzt d.R. Dr. Wilhelm Klimm (Landwehrbezirk Hirschberg) was the battalion Medical Officer. Regards Glenn
    16. Chris, I assume these guys are from Reserve-Jäger-Bataillon Nr. 5. Major Andreas v. Brandt was commanding in the earlier photo. Leutnant d.R. Albrecht was killed as an Oberleutnant d.R. in 1918. Hauptmann Friedrich Viktor Fürst von Hohenzollern was the temporary commander from 19 to 29 May 1917 and again from 11 to 26 June 1917. Regards Glenn
    17. According to Kraus (Die Feldgraue Uniformierung des deutschen Heeres 1907-1918, volume 1 page 463, the 1st and 2nd battalions of R.I-R. 109 wore litzen as per the regular regiment. Regards Glenn
    18. Unfortunately the Offizier-Stammliste of LGR. 109 (published in 1925) does not list reserve officers. It does detail Hans Ulrich von Kotze but does not show any affiliation to R.I.R. 109 for this officer. Regards Glenn
