    1. That's waht I figured. I know the list is not gospel and other makers exist. The list is a guide that helps but it's not perfect. I knew it was LV something and I never had one so I went for it. It's a nice one anyway.
    2. The minute I saw the pin I knew it was sketchy. I'm not an expert, but I do collect these and I wouldn't buy it. Lots of good ones out there to buy.
    3. I never saw LV29 listed as a maker anywhere but I know that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I'm going to assume this is a 29 since someone else has one.
    4. That's how mine is. The LV is good, the other two marks not so great. Who knows?
    5. Here's an SW marked piece. I bought this as an HW but there is no such maker listed anywhere, so I should have known better. I already have this maker but what can you do?
    6. A couple of more to add. This one has a hard to read maker mark. It's LV 2 something. If I go by published lists I would say it's LV26. Nice one either way.
    7. Looks like a 24 wide frame. The core paint looks shiny, like it's been repainted almost.
    8. There rear. Hardware is somewhat similar to Zimmerman/Godet examples.
    9. Here's the Duemer I was talking about. I also thought it was a Grossman at first.
    10. Looks like a TR era example for sure. S&L might be a potential maker also. Nice either way.
    11. Here's the rear of this nice piece. Any help would be great, Steve
    12. I just recieved this nice EK2. It's marked on the ring LV then a 2 and one hard to read number. Maybe a 9, although LV29 is not listed as a maker on my lists. What is the story behind these LV marked series of EK2's? What makers have the members here come across?
    13. I have one of these too with a copper plated core. The hardware is very similar to Zimmerman/Godet examples. Nice pickup. These unmarked crosses can often be picked up for less than marked examples, but are just as nice.
    14. I have to disagree here. Yes this book is not big on the actual maker's marks and the technical side of the medals, but it has some good history, superb photography etc. Some good interviews with actual winners of the awards also. It's a good read. There are only a handful of books on the subject, so I would think that the ones available would complement each other and all have something to offer. None come cheap.
    15. Here's a bit better look at the Meybauer mark. Thanks for looking.
    16. Here's the rear. The pin is bent a bit but it's not really too bad. The pin appears to be brass or something. The mark is above the catch.
    17. This arrived today. I picked it up from an old sales thread. It wasn't for sale anymore but I managed to get it into my collection. It's an EK1 from Paul Meybauer, with the Meybauer hallmark on the rear. It's in decent shape with only a slight blemish on the paint.
    18. Is the Bowen book stilll available? I heard it was out of print. Try posting the crosses here. You'll get what info you need then.
    19. Those are some nice cases there. I have almost 50 Imperial EKs and not a single case. I would like some though.
    20. There's a screwback version also?!! Oh no! Just what I needed to hear. Thanks for the comments. So what is the story on this maker? They made only a few examples and got out of the business? Does anyone have any kind of history for them?
