    4. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-66900561.amp Appreciate that this article is a few months old now. But formal confirmation that the Elizabeth Cross is to be extended to fallen Police Officers, is expected to be announced very shortly.
    5. Article in this month’s Soldier Magazine. Would appear the military are experiencing the same delays. Although the excuse makes no mention of the change of effigy, but blames staffing levels.
    6. Apparently the award date for the C111R LSGC version, is the 1st October 2022 as apposed to the 8th September 2022? Has anyone got any knowledge as to why this should be? It might also be of interest for those who qualified, that the King’s Coronation Medal roll out to all forces will begin next month (January 2024) and is expected to be concluded by September 2024.
    7. Little update, the Metropolitan Police have also published on their internal force website (I have heard this from several separate sources now), that the Royal Mint has now begun excepting orders again for LSGC’s and that they expect to begin awarding them again to Officers in the near future.
    8. Another example this one to West Midlands Police. I assume this badge would also be worn on the sleeve? Of particular interest might be the retrospective date of this award!!!
    9. Trying to work out how long it is likely to be, before the only medals an Officer will be wearing, will be a C111R LSGC, and or perhaps a KPM? Also how long it’ll be before no Officers are wearing any medals bearing the Queen’s effigy?
    10. Recent publication produced by the A&S Crime Commissioner, that has been sent out to all Chief Constables. Thought it might be of interest? (Includes criteria for the correct wearing of medals, as well as how to recommend Officers for gallantry awards.)
    11. For anyone who might be interested, copy 30 and 40 year bars are now available via a vender on EBay. Can’t comment on the quality or where they have sourced them from…….
