    1. I recently bought a nice album and document grouping to Erich Erbe who served with Lehrgeschwader 1. I am going to post his documents here and would appreciate your comments, especially as regards any help with the signatures.
    2. Sorry for the late reply PK many thanks for your help with this
    3. I was wondering what the members of the forum would make of this. This was presented to the Ships coy of HMS Sheffield (a Type 22 frigate Batch 2) by Bassett foods soon after her commission in 1988, as the plaque says it is made entirely of Liquorice Allsorts. It spent all of it's life hanging in the Senior Rates dining hall on the opposite wall to the Queen (God bless her). It wasnt until we were paying her off in 2003 that I managed to persuade the Chief Steward to give me this. As one of the 3 PO Tas's onboard, I had spent many a "scran time" staring at this"thing". The ironic thing is that Liquorice is up there with Gooseberrys and Rhubarb as one of my all time hates. Let me know your thoughts
    4. PK many thanks for the information, certainly what Im looking at now makes a lot more sense, I got a fairly comprehensive description with the group but you are helping to put more of it together for me
    5. It would be great to see some of the individual pics from your group PK
