    1. No doubt about it,two good honest originals Tom. I really like the Foerster & Barth U-Boat badge. One of my favorite zincers is the F&B Hilfskreuzer award. Cheers,Martin.
    2. Hi Norm, you may well be correct. In light of recent observations this Pfortzheim tombak HK award could certainly be attributed to Schickle now and not Mayer. Regards,Martin.
    3. Hi Chris, looking at the award Document dated for Oct 1940,and if the Deumer was the first badge he received then i would definately put Deumer as one of the early producers of the tombak Desroyer along with other makers such as Schwerin,Schickle and Meybauer. Regards,Martin.
    4. Nice badges Chris. The unmarked needle pin badge on the left looks like a nice early Deumer made piece. Regards,Martin.
    5. The Austo-Hungarian U-Boat badge as illustrated on page 386 in Gordon's book. Hope this is ok Gordon ? BTW,great photo Don.You do not see many images with this badge in wear. Regards,Martin.
    6. I just picked up this nice family portrait showing the Blockade Breaker badge in wear. Regards,Martin.
    7. Great grouping Erik and thanks for posting. It would be nice to see a translation of the letter from Otto Kahler. Regards,Martin.
    8. Thanks Joe, i do not recall seeing one of these badges in wear before and indeed a very nice and i would presume, rare photo. Regards,Martin.
    9. Hi Ulsterman, it is hard for me to tell from the image you posted but the guy with the awards looks like he is wearing an Imperial U-boat badge ? Thanks,Martin.
    10. Joe, am i missing something here? I have both crewlists from THOR 1&2.I do not see Nehm's name on the second cruise crewlist under Gumprich?? Erik mentioned that Nehm transfered to the Zerstorer "Bruno Heinemann" on Sept 27 1941. THOR 2 departed on her cruise on 30 Nov 1941. Regards,Martin.
    11. Please do Erik. Along with Joe i am interested in seeing any HK related photo's and especially from the THOR.Nehm served on the 1st cruise under Kahler and as you pointed out he transfered to Destroyers. Regards,Martin.
    12. Sounds like a great grouping Erik and please post the rest of the group.I would really like to see it. I have a huge file/album on the THOR compiled by one of the Officers and interestingly it includes this hand coloured photo of Nehm. Regards,Martin.
    13. Hi Odulf, nice photo's. It looks like they might be wearing the "Lighthouse" emblem of the U-109.? Regards,Martin.
    14. Great photo Norm. From previous images i have seen from you i do recognize your Dad in the center. Thanks for posting this one. Regards,Martin.
    15. I have been looking for a good portrait that shows the KM helmet in wear for a long time and they are hard to find. I finally managed to pick up this nice image of a member of the Coastal Artillery wearing an M40. Anyone else have a portrait with the KM helmet in wear ? Regards,Martin.
    16. Great Morten, a good clear view of what looks like a silver clasp in wear. Nice photo. Regards,Martin.
    17. Great photo Scott. Probably a member of the aircrews that flew the recon planes on the Battleships and Cruisers and therefore eligible for the HSF badge. Regards,Martin.
    18. Thanks Erik, this one is for you. The U-Boat badge and clasp in wear. Regards,Martin.
    19. Thanks Gordon and Morten, as i mentioned above there is not much going on in the HK award area. There are just a couple of awards that i would really like to add to the collection.along with HK award documents. These items are hard to find so i continue to add photographs to my collection.I am getting very selective now but some really nice images can be be found. Another new arrival with the Destroyer and SA sports badge in wear. Regards,Martin.
    20. A few more. this is Herbert Frohlich, asst radio operator on the HK Atlantis. He wears both the HK and HSF awards. Before Atlantis he served on the Graf Spee.
