      ONE TO CONSIDER

Hello, This cross is very few documented, so it is difficult to have an obvious opinion. I only handed one. Could you have better pics of the eagles, and of the reverse ? jacques
    3. the cross doens't correspond to whay I know. I though first of all it was an unknown (to me) variant of Godet. But Eastern Berlin, I don't see, except for fakes ! jacques
    4. the answer is there http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=1486 You can add to this list "the Luftwaffe" s?rie of Bender. jacques

      Green case

Don't think the case original, but usefull to keep safe your cross if you have no original case. such a case cost around 25-30?. jacques
    6. Beautiful in that condition. I would love to find the same case to bed my badge. jacques
    7. It's better to expose them in a showcase, thus you can see them all the time
    8. As I said I can't remember where I found that pic, but there are 2 in the book "german war booty" (Wolfe & Hardin one)
    9. these crosses are genuine . Until Frank get his cross from private and translated me correctly the text writen by Geissler I though they were fake. But now I own two. the crosses are massives, and collectors showed the same attachment on other medal (EK1, DRL badges, etc..). The metal is not tombac or silver but a poor metal which tend to yellowish when the silver wash goes away or the cross cleaned. Not the same quality as Meybauer, Juncker or Steinhauer but quite interesting nevertheless. jacques
    10. the bronze class . It has been sold by DN.
    11. here is the silver class without sword. Minus difference on the reverse, but same manufacturer.
    12. Manufacturers didn't mark their pieces. This variant is unmarked, but it could be made by the firm "Peltz & Lorenz (according to article writen by Harald Geissler few years ago in IMM). This variant is absolutly typical with the uncut eagles swastica, its system of attachment ,hinge in "H" form, small pin and square section hook. Moreover the eagle's form is typicam too, thus the swords grip. This manufacturer produced that cross in bronze, silver and gold, with and without swords (two differents dies).
    13. an officer of the spanish cross with swords
    14. Thanks Michel. here is one in tropical uniform.
    15. illustration of the crossed swords on the full ribbon medals bar.
    16. I think it is a retouched photo . here is one interesting too
    17. here is another spanish cross in silver of which the swords has been cut off and then the eagles' svastica slightly bent to give a convex form to the cross. the edges of the circle has been polished after the removal of the swords. Good job !
    18. sorry for the delay. I don't like too much the pin. the color is very bright. But it is hard to be sure. I would say it odd. jacques
    19. I hope that other ?anufacturer's catalogs will pop up soon !
