    1. Very interesting... who knows if one of these NCOs the one wearer of the medal bar in my collection is ( see: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=11870&hl=schwanz ). NCO had received his Sword's Order in 1909... Ciao, Claudio
    2. Hi Dave! Very nice named group! Congratulations! The way the ribbons are folded reminds me something... can you show us the reverse of the medal and ribbon bars? Ciao, Claudio
    3. There are also Meybauer Silesian eagles without enamel in gold... look here: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=8598&st=60 (posts nos. 66-68) and I also have one like this one on a medal bar. Ciao, Claudio
    4. Thanks Hendrik and F922 for your contributions. I think you're both right; it must be the "ordre de la sant? publique". Here is the final description of the ribbons: ? I am just wondering why he got the "M?daille des ?vades (1926)"... Ciao, Claudio
    5. Hi Pierce, I like this bar; it's neatly put together, the ribbons nicely folded and the backing on the reverse looks good, although with some light moths' damage... this doesn't detract anything from the bar. Furthermore the Schlesicher Adler is a Paul Meybauer and the FEK (Hindenburg cross) a Godet & Sohn (G S) piece. Nice...although not traceable. Ciao, Claudio
    6. I also think it must have been some kind of Colonial order... @Hendrik: Do you have a picture of the Cambodian National Merit Order, showing the color of the ribbon? ciao, Claudio
    7. Thanks Hendrik, for your correction. I am not sure about the Cambodian National Merit Order... the blue ribbon in Sainz' ribbon bar looks totally different from this order (look : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Order_of_Cambodia ). I corrected the list like that: ?
    8. TOE in the box, hand written (Mekong, Colonel Sainz)
    9. Detail of the big ribbon bar... Here is the description of the orders (please feel free to correct me): ? I am not sure ? Croix du Combattant (1930) ? M?daille d?Outre-Mer / M?daille coloniale (1893-1962), Extr?me Orient ? ??? ? M?rite Congolais, Commandeur Ciao, Claudio
    10. Dear forumites, I would like to show a nice group of ribbon bars and medals belonged to g?n?ral m?dicin Xavier Sainz (1902-1986). I'd really appreciate any additional information about g?n. Sainz military career! Thank you very much for your attention... Ciao, Claudio
    11. Yes I know... that's why I am posting them... ;-)
    12. thanks Mike... here is a picture of the whole reverse of the bar...
    13. Serial no. on the reverse of the Royal Victorian Order (MVO)
    14. Detail markings Sword's order... I can't take a better picture than this one, unfortunalely...
    15. Dear forumites, I'd like to show you something that it's new to me and, strangely enough, not Imperial German. Still the quality of the Jewellers made Northern Europe Orders are quite stunning, to say the least. Here is a description of the orders and medals in the medal bar of the Componist and military music conductor, Ille Gustafsson: ? Sweden, Gustav V:s minnesmedalj ? Sweden, Sv?rdsorden, knight grade cross ? Sweden, Vasaorder, knight grade cross ? Sweden, Sveriges Orkesterf?reningars Riksf?rbund, Reverse with name inscription and date 26.3.1938 ? Sweden, F?rtj?nsttecken i guld f?r Ryttarolympiaden Stockholm ? Sweden, Civilf?rsvarsf?rbundet medalj i silver ? Danemark, Dannebrogen Order, knight grade cross ? Norway, Saint Olaf's Order, knight grade cross, GOLD ? Iceland, Order of the falcon, knight grade cross ? United Kingdom, Royal Victorian Order, MVO (member), no. on the reverse 720 More about Ille Gustafsson (only in Swedish): http://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ille_Gustafsson http://www.militarmusiksamfundet.com/show_....asp?id=sveadef Ciao, Claudio
    16. It took me more than 2 years to read this thread, but I just wanted to congratulate Christophe for the very nice ribbon bar with the very "exotic" Swedish Swords Order ribbon with crown and swords device! Ciao, Claudio
    17. Nice picture! Here Oberst Giesen is shown still with the Kragenspiegel (collar boards) as Generalstabsoffizier. ciao, Claudio Ortelli
