    1. Dear forumites, I was quite fortunate to acquire the following medal bar. Ordensspange: Preußen, Eisernes Kreuz 1914, 2. Klasse (OEK 1909) Baden, Orden vom Zähringer Löwen, Ritterkreuz 2. Kl. mit Schwertern (OEK 157), S vg Hohenzollern, Fürstlich Hohenzollernscher Hausorden, 2. Modell (1852 ? jetzt), Kreuz 3. Klasse mit Schwertern, ab 1866 (OEK 1035/1), S Deutsches Reich 1933-45, Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer (OEK 3803/1), Hersteller R.V.67. Pforzheim Medaillen: Preußen, Eisernes Kreuz 1914, 1. Klasse (OEK 1908), Hersteller vermutlich Paul Meybauer Knopflochschleife mit Bänder des EK, FEK, BZ2 I would need any additional information on Ravan Freiherr Göler von Ravensburg. During the WWII he also has been awarded with the Iron Cross 2nd class clasp 1939 and the KVK 2. Kl. 1939, since I saw his ribbon bar, but I unfortunately couldn't successfully bid on it. Many thanks in advance for your most appreciated help. Ciao, Claudio
    2. Hi Tom, It looks like a Typical J. Reimann bar... Dark fabric on the back, very thick and solid needle system, padded ribbons on the front. Very nice... and if it comes also with a name, it's like having a cherry on a cake! Ciao, Claudio
    3. The bar came with these decorations... a wound badge in black and a later awarded Treudienst-Ehrenzeichen f?r 25 Jahre.
    4. A newly acquired Godet Spange... without EK2. 1914... That's uncommon and strange but possible!
    5. Sorry I meant Seeheld's HHO is in Gold. Ciao, Claudio
    6. Markings... I can read 938, but not the rest... maybe Silber??? Komtur's HHO is really of the highest quality... is it in Gold? Ciao, Claudio
    7. Strange HHO... the quality is a bit crude of Komtur's HHO is a bit crude. Here's mine as comparison. Ciao, Claudio

    9. This is a Golden HHOX... this piece can be valued around Eur 2'000.-.... For a silver gilted HHOX could fetch between Eur 600 and 800, depending on the conditions and markings (938, W 938, Godet, etc.) There are also some bronze gilted HHOX which were produced after WWI which can be valued even less (Eur 250-350). Ciao, Claudio
    10. @ Sascha: If it has been a pure Gold HHOX I could unsterstand Wildcard's statement... but the HHOX is definately a silver gilt piece one... Is it marked (on the botton rim of the cross)? It looks like a Godet ... @ Frank: Thank you Frank to have come out in the open to offer your bar for sale here on this forum. I am very tempted ... ;-) Ciao, Claudio
    11. Nice one Kurt! Is the box also from Godet? Ciao, Claudio
    12. Yeah... that was my same reaction... Those swords are strange but not impossible. I would have liked to see a clear picture of the back also, though. I wish you also a very happy new year with lots of new goodies for your marvellous collection! Ciao, Claudio P.S.: the Hessen Medical Merit cross is a 1914 piece (see obverse, worn as reverse).
    13. Dear forumites, I saw this bar on the internet (still for sale) and was wondering if there is any connection between a W?rttember'sches or Hessiches Regiment with the crown of Holland, due to the last order on the bar... I don't want to start a research on this bar before it will be sold, but I thought that this combination must be quite unique. Furthermore the Military Medical Cross of Hessen, as its name says, should have been awarded to some kind of a medical officer. Ciao, Claudio Description of the orders: Prussia, Iron Cross, 2nd Class, 1914, silver and iron W?RTTEMBERG, ORDER OF FREDERIC, KNIGHT, 1ST CLASS with swords HESSEN, Military Medical Cross 1914, gilt bronze, war ribbon War Cross 1914-1918 for combatants, bronze, maker's mark R.V.9 Pforzheim Netherlands, Order of the House of Orange, Knight, 1st Class, 2nd model, silver enamelled; center in gold
    14. Hi Komtur! Thanks for posting your bar. Great bar! Definitely a pre-1934 bar but put together by Godet after 1930. Very nice... strange that this guy didn't get the IC... Very nice indeed!
    15. @ Josef: I am believer... I didn't know that the Austrian Red Cross decoration could have been obtained with a donation... but it makes sense, since I know that nowadays red cross decoration of some countries like Japan or Thailand can be obtained after you donate a certain amount of money to their organisation. Ciao, Claudio
    16. ... in that case the golden eagles should be silver... ;-)
    17. And this is my reconstruction... I couldn't find the pics for the crown of the SEHO and the device for the Volkspflege-Ehrenzeichen... ;-)
    18. Salut Alexandre! Voila une photo plus detaill?e des rubains de Milch... Ciao, Claudio

    21. He could have been an Austrian civilian, functionary or medic in a officer rank... How did this guy get the Austrian Red Cross (officer rank class) and not a Prussian Red Cross Medal or any other German state red cross equivalent decoration as German? Without any hard evidences you can argue my statement but you can't prove it... I am sorry. Not that my statement is 100% correct, but also it can be wrong. In this case I'd like to hear a comment from an Austrian collector and ask him what he thinks about it! Ciao, Claudio
