The Czech general the topic is about was a Leutnant in A-H Army,in1899 he became the soldier in Legion étrangére in Oran-Sainte-Therése,where he served till the WWI.As a member of French Army,he took part in battles at Marne and Aisne. In May 1919 he fought with Red Hungarian Soviets... http://www.emering.com/medals/tunisia/index.html I studied the site and still I am able not to identify the correct name of Bey. this or that? or that 1906-1922 period?Muhammad an Nasir Bey? I do not undrestand-what is regardless?

European Union had a monitoring mission in the former Yugoslavia. Former EUMM began operating in July 1991 under the name of ECMM (European Community Monitor Mission). The mission was financed by the European Commission and consisted of 75 field specialists. The mission was headquartered in Zagreb and its designated area included Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania and the Republic of Macedonia. ECMM was renamed as European Union Monitoring Mission on 22 December 2000.[1]The full number of awards-75. In January 1992, the mission was briefly suspended following the helicopter downing that killed five of its observers.[2]Only 5 sets o were awarde to Czecho-Slovakia.In my opinion, the set was made in Switzerland. It is in silver, mark 925.It remembers the sad part of history in Europe. The participants of mission were called Ice-cream sellers, because of white uniforms they were wearing. The dimension of case-11cmX13cm.

I went through the division ,but I did notice this topis.Probably I did not see properly.Despite of the fact I think the topic about the Czechoslovak military badges deserves the position in GMIC.In my opinion the badges belong among the nicest military badges, still are looked for many collectors in Czech and Slovakia. Exemplary soldiers and non-commissioned officers were awarded .The bagdes were made of bronze, dimension 4,6cm X 5,1cm.For wearing the base and matrix were used-collectors try to get complete badges.Bases were both-alluminium or brass. It is nice. The description-the five-pointed emaled star put on the wreath from limb leaves,in the middle walkig lion .In the lower part is the speciality of army.21 specialities of army were issued.I do not have photos all the badges, because during past years I sold nearly 30 bagdes. So first I will show some left. 1.An exemplary driver sign truck 2.An exemplary soldier of supplies-logistic.Sign -bakery

The case is from balsa wood. All Japanese award are situated to the cases -etuis from balsa wood. Also the first Czechoslovak order-Štefaniks Order,or Order of Falcon was in put into wooden etue -Tokio version 1918. Imagine the situation -you award somebody with the Chain of White Lion and you are given such an order or similar.A lot of similar situations are familiar with me.

This order was established in 6.6.1947.It was made from bronze,no suspension for wearing on the reverse of the ribbon.A nice wooden case-dimension 19cmx11,5cm.Weight 17 gr..dia-33,3 cm.About 150 ordes of the first type were awarded. In my opinion it is the ugliest award in the world. It is my opinion.I do not know why designs and quality of awards of North Vietnam is so low.I hope when Ed Emering visits the GMIC after reading the topic he will give some explanation. They are not from presious metal:gold,silver,...and their design is so simple. The photos of order are from my collection.

I think the order deserves to have the topic with some more iformation and photos. The order was established 3.2.1953 as the highest award for exeptional work for the country. Its first name was Order of building of the socialist motherland.8.2.1955 it was chcanged into Order of Klement Gottwald-for building of the socialist motherland. It was always made in gold. The title of gold and weihgt changed.I took some information from site vyznamenani.net to show varieties of order in title of gold and weight. 1.number 17 1955-60 title 986,weight 77,5gr. 2.number 62 1960-89 t.585 w.69,6 3.number 86 1960-89 585 72,8 4. 92 585 62,9 5. 105 585 65,9 6. 165 585 73,8 it is mine It is popular among the collectors of Czechoslowak awards, for good investment of money.I will add the photos of the order from my collection.,numerred 165. Next photos -the dimension of etue 18cm X13,5cm and the tilte of briliant.
