    1. Thank you Antonio. We must assume it's the 2nd Class, because we have no proof he was ever awarded the 3rd Class or Grand Cross.
    2. Here is a photo of Konteradmiral z.V. Wilhelm Rhein (close-up from my collection). I think the ribbon on his lapel is the ribbon of the HOH3x he was awarded on 2 November 1918. Can anyone confirm? The only other ribbon that was worn this way was the Spange zum EK2, but I don't think that's what Rhein is wearing because the device of the Spange was much larger and it would be clearly visible even on a photo of this quality.
    3. Hello, I found this photo of Leopold Bürkner wearing the Breast Star of the Spanish Order of Naval Merit. Can someone tell me which class it is? The person who posted the photo claims it's the Grand Cross. But the only info I have says he was awarded the Spanish Order of Naval Merit 2nd Class with White Decoration on 28 February 1935. This class also had a Breast Star (like the Grand Cross and the 3rd Class). Thanks!
    4. Thank you Glenn! Here is another photo of Theodor Eschenburg. What is the award above the EK1? Could it be a Stahlhelm Bund award?
    5. May 19, 1918 is the right answer. I wish I had time to give all the right answers - Vili Thank you very much Vili! I hope you will be able to help with the other dates also, if you find the time of course.
    6. Unknown #18 Who is number 1 on this photo? I think he could be an Admiralarzt. Number 2 is Gerhard Wagner.
    7. Unknown #17 Please help me ID these officers. 1: ??? (possibly a Vizeadmiral) 2: ??? (possibly a Konteradmiral) 3: Friedrich Götting 4: is it Hubert Schmundt?
    8. Unknown #16 Who is this Konteradmiral? The Vizeadmiral in the middle is Paul Fanger. The photo was taken on 31 May 1941.
    9. I didn't realise it was you that sent the photo on my Facebook page. Thank you very much once again!
    10. Please help me with the awards of Hans Küsel. Recently I found another photo of him that revealed he had another award that wasn't listed in the 1918 Rangliste. Perhaps there are more awards than the ones I have on my list now. His list of awards I have so far: -Königlich Preußischer Kronen-Orden 2. See the entries from the 1914 and 1918 Rangliste below the photos.
    11. At some point during the time he was Placed at the Disposal of the Commander-in-Chief of the Kriegsmarine (24 June 1940-31 August 1942), he was attached to the German Mission in Romania. No further info avaliable. All I know is it was some time in early 1942. A Romanian book gives the date 28 February 1942 on which Götting was received by Marshal Ion Antonescu as the new "Chief of the German Naval Mission". Some colleagues from the Axis History Forum and I agreed that the Breast Star is the Großkreuz des Königlichen Ordens der Krone von Rumänien mit Schwertern. That's the award I have in my files. Of course, this is not 100% confirmed because of the lack of a better photo of the Breast Star. Here is the full list of his awards, if you are interested: -Eisernes Kreuz (1914) I. Klasse -Eisernes Kreuz (1914) II. Klasse -Königlich Preußisches Dienstauszeichnungskreuz -Großherzoglich Oldenburgisches Friedrich August-Kreuz I. Klasse -Großherzoglich Oldenburgisches Friedrich August-Kreuz II. Klasse mit Spange „Vor dem Feinde“ -Hamburgisches Hanseatenkreuz -U-Bootskriegsabzeichen (1918) -Ritterkreuz I. Klasse des Königlich Schwedischen Schwertordens (02. 08. 1918) -Ehrenkreuz des Weltkrieges 1914/1918 mit Schwertern für Frontkämpfer -Wehrmacht Dienstauszeichnung IV. bis I. Klasse -Großkreuz des Königlichen Ordens der Krone von Rumänien mit Schwertern
    12. He died in Russian captivity. No info if he was actually executed, more likely it was from natural causes. See here for his biography: https://www.oocities.org/~orion47/WEHRMACHT/KRIEGSMARINE/Vizeadmirals/GOETTING_FRIEDRICH.html Great job! Thank you.
    13. Thanks. So my sources were wrong. That's ok, you helped me a lot nevertheless. Sure, here is the photo. You can see the Order of the Sword on his medal bar (4th medal). Can you determine the class from the photo? Knight's Cross 1st or 2nd Class?
