    1. Closer. Sorry about the poor lighting. It is next on my list of stuff to fix.
    2. This came from the recent OMSA show. It has been a while since I bought a BWB.
    3. Is that not an EK1 spange type eagle on the first ribbon? I have only noticed that on 2 bars now. How common are they?
    4. I knew I was dreaming. Was ist EtappenKommandantur?
    5. There is a silver mark and I think it is 850 but it is hard to tell.
    6. I do not think I have ever shown this before. This is the only one I have found or even seen.
    7. Just a gilted bronze one that has seen better days but I love it!
    8. Closer. See the black birdies? Also there is a VDF on the Oldenburg!
    9. 6 - Private photo that I would put in the 20's. This is a great photo as it shows the Ehrenritter version.
    10. A week late but I have a little to add. I lost some pictures from the PC and I could not find the others but I finally did! So- here we go.
    11. Here is the other interesting item. This gentleman seems to be Japanese to me. The tunic has a different number of buttons and they seem to be cloth covered. Anyone recognize the uniform?
    12. I recently bought a group photo of some Germans as it had a couple of interesting points. NOTE: I can not get the entire photo small enough to post. I am sure someone will want to shoot me! It is dated 1914 and one German is wearing an EK2 ribbon on his tunic. There is a caption: I see flieger command but I think that is because I want to.
    13. The base material is a dark green. The interior color looks to be a dark olive/green color which I found one reference to "officials" but I have no idea what that means. Do you think there is another patch under this one as in a field promotion?
    14. Can someone tell me what branch this would be from? I think it is Heer but going through the only references I have I can not figure it out.
    15. Here is a new cross for my collection. I found it locally and had to buy it. One of my favorite cores.
    16. Guys, Sorry I'm late to this thread. The cross is sold and arrived yesterday. Sorry Sal. Thank you to everyone that posted information. Glenn, that is great information! The cross is a nice piece and the engraving has the same patina in it as the cross has on the back. Hard to photograph but you can really see it in the daylight with a loop. This cross came from Detlev at one time and has his COA with it. No date on it. At least this will stay in the family. Chet
    17. Stogie, Maybe you should go pry him out of the house for awhile. All of the lists are getting to him. Is the snow gone yet there? I thought July was your warm month - it's our monsoon season
