    3. Hi Guys, Thank you. There is also an eagle and swastika on the conning tower. The little U-boat is made by Arnold. Regards, Jody
    4. Hello folks, I just bought a real WWII German produced U-boat. It is a little smaller than the standard type which wrecked havoc in the North Atlantic, but it is real just the same. Don't be too quick to judge my little boat; Joachim Schepke gave one to Horst Plenk who was the son of long distance ski-er Toni Plenk. Here are the pictures. So what do you think? BTW, the flag on my U-boat was replaced by a tin version made by Elastolin. Regards, Jody
    5. Hi Gordon, Do you have a link where I can get those books? BTW, I hope the guy with the replica will restore it. I would think that would be something a museum would want. Regards, Jody
    6. Hello folks, I thought you might enjoy reading this and seeing the photos. What a cool thing to find along the side of the road. Just imagine 6,000 pounds. This is neater than the movie which was terrible. http://s181686668.onlinehome.us/phpBB2/viewtopic.php5?t=3291 Regards, Jody

    11. Hi Mark, The only one I have seen is in Identifying Authentic German WWII Military Items (Collector's Guide Volume III) by Robert McCarthy (1981). On pages 22-23 Mr. McCarthy shows two versions of the badge, an original case and an award document dated 1. November 1943. Regards, Jody
    12. Hi Gordon, Thank you. That is what I was looking for with the 2nd pattern. I am still looking for a nice 2nd pattern by Schwerin Berlin, but I have not found one. Regards, Jody
    13. Hi Laurence, I think it was ordered from the back of a comic book (SGT. Rock). Regards, Jody
    14. Hello folks, This fake dates back to the late 60's early 70's. It is a classic, that us kids we used to play war with. BTW, the fake ribbon for this award does not glow. Regards, Jody
    15. Hi folks, Who doesn't love the E-boat badge (1st or 2nd pattern). I would love to see your examples, so post away. Here are my two. Regards, Jody Here is my 1st pattern by Schwerin Berlin:
    16. Hi folks, This badge is actually in an early case, sadly, I could not scan it. I like this badge for it has the indent to the reverse. BTW, this cased set was given to me the parent of an ex-girlfriend. I have always liked this style of badges, I think because of its unique shape and color. So lets see what is out there. Regards, Jody
    17. Hi folks, Post your best Coastal Artillery badge. Here is my favorite example, it is hand vaulted and by Schwerin Berlin (they did a terrific job on it). It was captured in Cherbourg. I would love to see some of yours. Regards, Jody

    19. This badge belongs to my friend Tony Casale here in Arizona. It is very worn but it has a lot of personality. This was from a set that was broken up, and the winner of this badge also won the Spanish Cross in Bronze with out Swords. Regards, Jody
