Dear Gordon, i also saw this in a german Wochenschau. The speaker said the the officer got the Uboatwarbadge from Doenitz. I looked at the picture very closely at my television and i am sure he got a cased Uboat warbadge. Chris

Hallo, the RS badge looks ok, but the L/58 is a sign of a postwar production. This pieces were sold at military fairs in the 70 for the first time and i assume they all were produced in the 70 ies. Chris
