Great info both of you. Many thanks! With your help we Just lifted another former kurhessian officer out of obscurity. These details will be added to what I already found on him and soon be put on my website kurhessen.owlstown.net Its still growing and it will be a multiple years project to get it all complete. But with all of our passion for militairy history, I am sure it will be a great succes and eventually a valuable resource for these interested in pre-1866 german history. Thanks again David

Good morning I would like to know more about the career and ODM of Ernst Heinrich Graf und Edler Herr zur Lippe-Biesterfeld. He ended his career according to my source, but I found nog proof yet as Oberstlieutenant and Commandant von Heilbronn in the service of the King of Württemberg in 1830. Any help would be really appreciated. Regards David

Good afternoon dear forumites! my request of today involves a prussian Oberst, who retired before 1821. My source unfortunately does not name the Regiment. Good morning I am looking for more conclusive data on the career of this officer. My source https://orka.bibliothek.uni-kassel.de/viewer/image/1518619596178/486/ is rather contradictionary on the second part of his career. He either ended his career as a Rittmeister a.D. of the Garde-Train-Bataillon or of the Train-Bataillon (kurhess.) Nr 11. Could anyone give me a more definite answer? Hoping one of you could hekp me out Regards David

Good afternoon I have not been able to find out much about the career of Karl v. Vultée or v. Vultejus, the youngest kurhessian Kadett in 1866. He presumably went into prussian militairy service and is named in my source as a possible Secondelieutenant in JB 10 by the time of the Franco-Prussian War of 1870-71. The latter days of his career may or may not have been spend in the Invaliden-Haus in Berlin. Would there be a way in finding out more about this officer? Hoping someone could help me out. Regards David

In the allgemeine militärzeitung Nr 95 of 1835, there is mention of the use of Russian based Goldstickerei for the Uniforms of the Generalität to be used in the kurhessian army. As the same article mentions it is most likely also to be used in the prussian army, I was kind of hoping one of you can get his hands on a picture of said Goldstickerei. It woud be an amazing addition to the information I am presenting on my website. Thanks so much in advance David
