Hello Eason This star has been discussed on other forums for a few years now and has been discussed on this forum too, from what I have seen there have been no major discoveries as to what it is, the central insignia is clearly from the Royal Army Chaplains Department, but appears to be a fantasy piece. Here you will find a little more discussion about these stars.

Medal of the Jesuit order?
Flávio P.Z.Peixoto replied to svapr's topic in Southern European & Balkan States
hello, As said before, it doesn't actually appear to be a medal, there is a model similar to yours for sale on ebay, described as a "medal awarded by Pius IX to the Jesuits", due to the shape of the eyelet that looks like it was worn with a chain. It is difficult to be sure what it is, but it is very likely that it was a gift on the occasion of the Jubilee of 1875 (which occurred in a limited way on the occasion of Italian unification), this type of gifts are very common during jubilees -
Hello everyone, I was researching the medals that Father Rupert Mayer won in the WW1, I know that he was awarded three times (1st and 2nd of the Iron Cross ), as he lost his leg in combat, I suspect that the third decoration is the wounded badge, but I didn't find anything about it, also, as he died in 1945, it is likely that he had the Hindenburg Cross, could anyone confirm for me what his medals?

ETHIOPIA EMPEROR HAILE SELASSIE VISIT TO BRAZIL MEDAL 1960
Flávio P.Z.Peixoto replied to heusy68's topic in Africa
Hello Jim, the medal was issued in 2 classes, silver for high authorities and bronze for assistants, it was minted by the Mint and its Engraver was B.RIBEIRO, regarding availability I can say that it is a somewhat difficult medal to find even here in Brazil. -
hello everyone, I recently started a small collection of papal decorations, pieces of little interest to most collectors, unfortunately they are very rare to appear in the Brazilian market, so I always try to take advantage of rare opportunities, for now I am happy with my Pro Ecclesia et Pontifex (which I assume was granted during the papacy of Pius XII), Lateran Cross in case (Type I) with a miniature (Type II of Saint Paul VI), Bene Menreti Medal of Leo XIII and two miniatures of the Order of the Holy Sepulcher. The Lateran Cross and miniature

This uniform was offered in an brazilian auction that took place in the last few days, there was no bid for it, it will probably appear again in the next auction, in this auctioneer there are always strange pieces together with legitimate pieces, due to the little contact I had with them, it doesn't seem to me that they do it on purpose, they just don't know the experts for it and it's something very common to happen in Brazilian auctions.

thank you so much for your help!!!, I'm trying to figure out the rest of the decorations, and maybe the name of the original recipient...

Brazilian Stuff

Here is another piece, a tunic from the 70's of a Colonel of the Military Police of the State of São Paulo of the 20th Battalion of the Interior, with a bar of the gold medal for 30 years of service, only missing the visor, tie and the insignia of superior officer in the right pocket to finish. Sorry for the bad pics, it's best I can. -
Brazilian Stuff
Flávio P.Z.Peixoto replied to Flávio P.Z.Peixoto's topic in Rest of the World: Militaria & History
Thank you very much Hendrick, I still have many pieces to show, here are some more that belonged to my great-grandfather. His Military Historic along with his 20 Years Service Medal in Silver and the Police insignia that he used when he was part of the Air Force Police. He joined the Air Force in 1945, shortly before the end of the Second World War, at the School of Sub-Officers and graduated in Aircraft Mechanics in 1947, this book deals with his trajectory from 1945 to 1965 (I'm looking for the other book from 65-75 when he retired), one of the most troubled periods in the country, the end of the Vargas Dictatorship in 1945 and the beginning of of the Military Dictatorship of 1964, it also contains many signatures of important Air Force Officers, mainly Ministers and ex-combatants of the Italian Campaign. In the last photos, he with one plane and his identity card which has a funny history with it, the Brazilian Air Force was created in 1941 and he entered in 1945, because that, his identity card came out at number 99, which constantly caused him problems with the authorities civilians and military because they think it is a false document. Unfortunately they are the only things he had left, the other things were lost with time. -
Hello everyone, I know that many of you have never seen or know little about Brazilian medals and equipment, so I would like to show you some pieces from my collection. The first photo is an American M1 helmet that was used by the Brazilian Expeditionary Force in the Italy campaign, with a Bronze Star (very awarded to Brazilian soldiers) and the Campaign Medal, with its bar, miniature and original envelope, these envelopes are very rare, they were only sent to soldiers who could not receive in person (wounded and prisoners of war), this medal was awarded to Private Cícero Bezerra de Paiva Sobrinho of the 8th Group of the 27th Battalion of Amazon Hunters.

they are beautiful bars, I always found the repeated ribbons curious and a little funny because of the medals that had the same ribbons, I imagine even the Austrian military were a little confused by them
