    1. Airfield comms, they seem to like wearing a dustmans coat of some kind....
    2. Hi all, These photos may be of interest, from the Luftwaffe magazine 'Der Adler', showing the Air Traffic Control personnel in action, first shot shows a nice NCO's visor cap being worn....
    3. Hmm, the stitching around the button hole comes out in these shots as looking like there is some red tinges on the cotton, it is a trick of the light, as they are grey, will have another go and see what they come out as...
    4. Here is a set of Other Ranks (Enlisted Mans) shoulder straps with white piping for HG troops... Bob
    5. Durned interesting ribbon bar Bob!! Rick, you should be sainted, you are am absolute font of knowledge!! Paul, the bars belong to a friend of mine, so were all picked up from various collectors and dealers, although I did own the KM sew in bar at one time! Cheers The other Bob
    6. John, Thanks very much for that, I will pass it on to my friend Paul, who owns that one, he will be over the moon with the details, now that I know it is Luftwaffe, I might have to try and prize it out of him, as he is only after Heer Infantry items, so I guess I have a bit of a chance!!! Thanks again, Cheers Bob
    7. it looks like 'Adolf Schwangenwald' ... Bob
    8. Naoki, that is a fantastic grouping, Love that shot !!! Norwest78, when I had the silver, I had another gold and sold both off when I tried to get out of collecting, and the result of that silly move was to get rid of things that I really liked, so it has been a bit of a battle to get a few old favourites back again, I know where the silver is, and I wait in the dark, ...one day...... Here is another DKiG that belongs to a friend of mine, it is named roughly on the back too, I don't know if the naming is of the period or not, but it is a nice cross all the same, and another Deschler... Bob
    9. And again Rick, I am in your debt, many thanks for that, I have passed your comments on to my friend, and he is quite relieved, he will try the black light and see what happens, Thanks again Best wishes Bob
    10. I should have said that there is a 2 place piece of ribbon in there as well, just added it as it is a bit unusual, but the ribbon bars I mentioned (there is actually 3 of 'em) with the same backing just look a bit too 'new' to me, but perhaps they are ok, I am not up to speed on ribbon bars. Many thanks Cheers Bob
    11. and the sew one ribbon bar is missing a couple of devices, here is the reverses.. Bob
    12. The 2 I don't think are real good are the long one on the top, and the lower right with the Westwall ribbon on the end.... A bit closer in on the big'un...
    13. Hi all, Posting these for a friend, I am not real crazy about the long ribbon bars here, but not my area, maybe some of you more learned gentlemen might like to comment on their authenticity. Best wishes Bob
    14. Fingers crossed that you track down some photos Kevin, I am on the lookout for the document to my guy now! Bob
    15. Gene, I am always in hog heaven when you show off your HG items, that is about as good as it gets, HG wrap around, rare as hens teeth side cap to go with it, piped caps, and that magnificent HG white top, I would love to know the story behind tracking that little gem down, and I am guessing that it took a heck of a long time to find it too, your collection is just superb! Bob
    16. Thanks Naoki and VBS, and I have made a few comments to my friend about that silver coming back home to daddy, he knows that I still lust after it ! Bob
    17. A Luftwaffe wrist compass, they are not too difficult to find, yes, issued to aircrew. Bob
