    1. And here they are...fresh united-L/10 LDO case with L/10 Deschler EK... Micha
    2. Ach ja.......Max Philipp This is one of the guys I wouldn't buy....doesn't matter what he has got to offer! Micha
    3. Thank you for the quick reply,Marcus! I found your thread at the SDA forum this morning-so now I see the light at the end of the tunnel...... Micha
    4. I bought an LDO case without print at the top here at the forum-the case is a perfect late war one without a print at the top. These case where used for all kind of medals. Now my question-some collectors I know are the oppinion, that the number 621 was used for iron crosses and the number 643 for woundbadges...To tell the truth...I've never thought about this-Is it true or just a rumor? Micha
    5. Heidelberg,neuer Messplatz........direction Heidelberg Kircheim
    6. So here's my question again-Are Rothe&Neffe EKs known? The two EKs in Previtera's book(both in one case) are hard to judge-from what I can see they are shurly Eks made in the 20ies.So it's posssible that R&N was "just" a retailer? I like the Ek shown in this thread and would like to have it in my own collection-but is it really Rothe&Neffe? Hard case....... Micha
    7. And the last one for today....I can't make out the maker mark, but it looks like a"W" with something else....,probably a"e" or something like a "G"?The painting of the core looks a little like the"enameld" paint of some KO EKs.... Obverse
    8. The next one I called "lazy 2" because of the strange stamping at the ribbon ring! But have your self a look.... Obverse
    9. Nothing spectacular this morning, but I found some lonely EKs that I had to rescue..... First is a S-W marked Ek2 in good condition, unfortunately the ribbon ring is open! From my picture database this is a new core variation(in my collection of course) Micha Obverse
    10. That's very interesting! I haven't got one of these in my collection-but this can be a "link" to an austrian made EK!let's wait what the others think about this... Micha
    11. I would like to compare more EKs of each type-should we start a new thread just with pics of the 3 suspects? My idea behind that-I want to find out if all variations we know so far where used by all 3 "manufacturers".My apologise to Mike that I didn't realised the existence of a 2nd "square"core ....mea culpa!I have asked for pics in the biggest german forum(11000 members, but with no success)....quantity is not everything . Micha
    12. Hi Pat, this is a pretty good one you have! I woud date this type of EK as one of the last ones in the "old"style-could be also from the early 30ies!But definitely not wartime. Micha
    13. Mike, from your pics I agree totally with you.But your "Sqare" is different to mine So we have minimum 2 different cores? Please have a look at the pics I had posted a while ago-I cant see any major differents that would indicate they where made from different dies. But this is really interesting... Micha
    14. The EK was made shurly in the late 20ies-look at the crown, you can find it also on a few EK1 models(pin and screwbacks).I don't want to say they are rare, but they are not so easy to find. Micha
    15. This is the one I had for sale(until I realised that I haven't got this one double...)The EK is non magnetic, with a little screw(same typ as you can find at "Deumer"EKs) and a big washer.Nothing spectacular, but it might be interesting for the "hardcore EK collector"... Micha Obverse
    16. It's like a virus....we know we must have them....theymust be somewhere But who knows....some nice day..... Micha
    17. Ups...I was talking about the"regular" ones....the "specials"-well.....cant remember that I've seen one somewhere! Micha
