    1. This one in the same condition between 200 and 230?.........everything under 200? would be a good deal!Screwbacks are more and a double screw is hitting easily the 300?.......These prices are a pain-but what to do? So now you know what I'm looking for the next year Micha
    2. A last one before my holliday....not a real beauty, but always wanted(when I look for how much they are going at ebay..)This EK was shurely made in the 20ies-there' are some other variations known:flat backplate with hallmark and silvercontent stamp, dito screwback, the pillowback with screw...dito with double screw...but hard to get as you know! Anyway-here are the pics... Micha
    3. Hi@all I'm looking for some good pics showing a "Deutscher Offiziersverein"or a "AWS" with the double screwback system(Screws at the 12 and 6 o'clock arm).I know they are not grewing at every corner, but my reason to ask is:must be there also a big plate or washer?Or are these crosses only fitted with the two little screws......To get one of these two crosses will be my next big "project"after my holiday,so I try to get more informations about them. Regards Micha

Micha
    5. Here are my screwbacks... 1X "Finke"-non magnetic, screwback with a big washer 1X "Deutscher Offiziersverein" with screwback and big washer 1X "Deutscher Offiziersverein",unmarked, screwback marked with 4 stars and a "800"-washer is missing 1X "Hansen" fully marked screwback 1X "KMST"with a kind of disk attachment 1X "Meybauer" with crossplate,Meybauer hallmark at the backplate 1X "Meybauer" with crossplate, totally unmarked 1X "Meybauer with regular screwback,Meybauer hallmark at the backplate 1X "Clamshell" screwback(Deumer Type",non magnetic core 1X " Screwback with big washer(same cross like the clamshell variation),non magnetic core Micha
    6. It's an overstamped "WS"!I'm shure there must be more out,but this is the only one I've seen so fare...... Micha
    7. Nico-there's something complete wrong with this EK.........it should be in my collection! That's a beauty with a hard to find make mark-well done again! Micha
    8. Well,I stare at the crown of your EK,I stare at the crown of my WS.......I think this is the trace we have to follow! The iron cores are sometimes a little different(remember the "Fr" 2nd class EKs....) iI'm not complete shure, but I think it has got a "Wagner" core.... Micha
    9. That should be easy .......but it isn't! My first thought was-it's a CD 800 or a "square"....the crown is different, the numbers position is to high! The "4" on your cross is very uique-I wasn't able to find anything that would match in my files........So I asked a good collector friend-I hope he can bring some light into this case-I can't-sorry,Richard! Micha Ups.....I found something that doesn't make sense-one of my first class WS Type 2 has got a matching crown. So I vote for one of the endless "Wagner"variations .But have a look at this EK1.....
    10. This one dropped in today-I prefer the imperial EKs,but if you want to have all iron crosses........ Anyway,it's a "Deumer"-marked L/11 at the ribbon ring. Micha
    11. That happens when you belive in a piece of paper instead doing your home work........From the size this can't be a ribbon fon an iron cross-I apologize! So I was reading my "Nimmergut" forewards,backwards,sidewards......He said the correct ribbon in his book is the nr.392 in the ribbon list.So we've got the same nc ribbon for the 1914 and the 1870 iron crosses? Ok-so to what kind of medal is the ribbon on my 1870 ek belonging? From the size of the black stripe it could be onle the Nr.400,413 and 418...Nimmergut says the scale is 1:1-so we can ignore the smaller Nr.413 and the bigger Nr.400. Only the "418" is matching perfectly....I found the OEK1892 with that ribbon in the "Nimmergut"-It's the Milit?r-Ehrenzeichen 2.Klasse 1864-1918.... well, this is far away from my collecting field-maybe one of the experts here could bring up some light into the darknes? Micha
    12. And the reverse-I think it's a piece from the late 20ies...
    13. Hi@all, this will be one of my last postings this year-nothing new but a really nice single mounted 2nd class iron cross. Normally I'm collecting maker marked EKs,but I couldn't let it go.......here are the pics! Micha
    14. Here's my latest....the same blued sheet metal core, the same frame but again a different pin! That makes 3 variations now-collecting imperial EKs is an endless story! But here are the pics... Micha
    15. I wouldn't say organisation-not long time ago I've seen some scans from an old catalog somewhere...The "Deutscher Offiziersverein" sold nearly everything....but it's true-these EKs are really hard to find.(Usually I don't buy rusty EKs,but........).I know there's another variation out-the one with two little screws-so easy to find like the KMST EKs......... Micha
    16. And here is his poor, rusty brother-and the washer is missing, too!Another one that has to leave my collection, now I'm looking for the one with the two screws Obverse
