Hmm...but who was awarded with the "Dienstauszeichnungskreuz" ?The owner of my medal bar was a low rank,....at the first position of your bar is a "Z?hringer L?we"... Micha
This one dropped in today-First position the 1871 campaign medal with the clasps "An der Lisaine","W?rth"und "Strassburg",the the "Felddienst-Auszeichnung"(missing),the 1897 medal and at the last position? should be a long service award...but which? there are no traces of a clasp, and for a medal it's the wrong ribbon... Micha
-no,that what look like Feldgrau is the pure metal, the silverish obverse of the metal is something like nickel?. I will try to make some better pics tomorrow(hopefully with better daylight than today) Micha
This one dropped in today-I've bought this a while ago at Ebay-what do you think? The thread that was used at the backside is no polyester, the ribbon ring of the Nassau medal is a repair. Micha
The one I've seen was clearly painted! And where the paint was gone it was blued-and the painting was "professional" done,no traces at the frame! I emailed him to get some pics.... Micha
Have a look at the bidder list.....can't tell who Medalicus is but remeber the Nr.2? Micha http://cgi.ebay.de/Eisernes-Kreuz-1914_W0Q...1QQcmdZViewItem
