    1. Nice gallantry ribbon bar (pin back) with the short lived VM ribbon
    2. Here is really rare, short lived, Victory medal ribbon on the gallantry set. Owner of this bar may marched on the Victory parade.... who knows...
    3. I presume that this is one of the most common Shock worker's badges? Also interesting leaflet for Lenin's 85th birth anniversary party from 1955. PS: That MVD badge has to move. So, I list it to the eBay due to lack of interest here. If still someone would like it from here, I add that shock worker's badge as well free.
    4. Thank you very much! If someone wants, I can post few extra shots later on. Last night I was able to use only scanner for the job.
    5. Hi all, I already put that badge up on sale here but just to be sure that it is fair deal for fellow collectors, I stick it up here as well for discussion. Like I understand it is short period in use MVD Excellent Boarder Guard badge from 1950s? Unfortunately enamel is gone and star is sanded down on the top. Why someone likes to do that???? Rest of the enamel is in place. Screw post and the disk looks like are original ones without any messing. Any ideas boys and girls?
    6. Thank you! Found that input on Medal Yearbook as well finally. Oh, me and my eyesight :D
    7. Thank you very much guys! Just to be sure, Paul are you saying that the Borneo award is so rare that it was probably awarded 30-40 times in total or combination as it is shown on this bar? Also first two row set bar looks like belonged to the man who was "loanded" to the Oman during 60-70s (Dhofar War)... perhaps RAF or even SAS man : 6. Oman, General Service Medal 1963. 7. Oman, Endurance Medal 1976 (Midal as-Sumood)
    8. Hi all, I received today haul of ribbon bars for my collection, including two of the bars below. I checked my British ribbon charts and I am struggling to ID three ribbons on them. I am sure that the answer is something really simple, so hopefully someone here can help me. A. Two row bar (someone put numbers on the ribbons - can I wash them out?): 1. Defence Medal 2. War Medal 3. General Service Medal 1918-62 4. General Service Medal 1962 5. Army Long Service & Good Conduct Medal 6. ?????? (can it be India Independence Medal, but what it is doing then in the end of the British bar) 7. ?????? B. Three place bar: 1. British War Medal 2. Victory Medal 3. ???? (can it be British North Borneo Company's General Service Medal 1937-1941?)
    9. Also I think medals are mounted wrong way around - Efficiency should be the last place.
    10. A.T.S. stands for Auxiliary Territorial Service - a women's branch in the British army during the WW2. From 1949 onwards this became Women's Royal Army Corps. Did quick check but can't find her name. WW2 awards is still hard to research because most of the papers are still with the MoD. Regards, Timo
    11. Thanks! That's weird because I had before similar ww2 set with RAF on it. Something learned today, thank you again! Timo
    12. Hi all, Does someone knows from what country these collars are from, what era and did these belonged to the General (red)??? Thanking you in advance, Timo
    13. Good morning.... First at all, some ribbons are wrong way around: - 1915 Star (correct ribbon) - British War Medal (this one has Victory medal ribbon) - Victory Medal (this one has British War Medal ribbon) Your man's name was BENJAMIN ROUSE Medal Index Card confirms his trio. He landed in France 3rd September 1915. Probably due to the wounds or sickness he was transferred into the Labour Corps (new service number 294695) and was sent to Class Z reserve on the 25 march 1919.
    14. Hi all, Randomly found these tags and would like to ID the unit. Any help and advise would be great! Regards, Timo
    15. Hi all, Does anyone else have came across with that Spink & Son produced medallion that commemorates fallen in the Battle of Jutland 1916? It is made from silver alloy, 45 mm diameter and also hallmarked Spink & Son 1916. After quick check I just spotted one example online on the Imperial War Museum site: http://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/item/object/16983 Actually some good details there regards the medallion but my main question would be rarity and the price (because this piece do not fit into my collection and I am planning to list on ebay). Any advice would be great! Thanking you in advance, Timo
    16. and I found one on sale in the Italian local auction.... estimated €100-150. http://www.vonmorenberg.com/en/object/42048/Distintivo-della-Marcia-su-Addis-Abeba.html one for €300 http://www.mymilitaria.it/liste_03/marcia_addis_abeba.htm
    17. That would be great! Thank you for your time! Noor
    18. Hi all, I just picked up that cloth patch and I am wondering is this from Canada, from what period? Thanking you in advance, Noor
    19. Hi all, I am looking information (how many were made, who got them, current market value, etc) regards the Italian - Ethiopian war pin back badge. Looks like it is hallmarked Corinaldi & Rizzi Milan. Any ideas would be great. Regards, Noor
    20. Here is one really nice standard "wide" track slider ribbon bar from early 20s to a British career Navy man, who saw service at least from 1908. He received Messina Earthquake medal in the end. Really nice, well deserved, "foreign" award to British service men (and many other nations who helped Italy after this disaster).
