In Orden und Ehrenzeichen 7/2001 S. 14ff Sauerwald shows the number of awarded silver merit crosses of some month. On the base of these data you can estimate a number of roughly 8000 awards. With regards, Komtur.

That Plm in Silver gild is to be seen in the Armeemuseum Schloss Rastatt. It is obviously manufactered after 1918 (Godet?). The order is said to be worn by Morath. With regards, Komtur.
