    1. Thanks, unfortunately, nothing on a possible ribbon.
    2. That's the original one I saw bud... It's hanging from the ribbon of the Military Decoration for Exceptional Service or Acts of Courage or Devotion. I still haven't found any original text about the ribbon, if any! They were originally issued without one and were short lived being replaced by the 1st class after only 3 years me thinks.
    3. Not a bad idea... Where were you last year when all of this nonsense started huh?
    4. OK, now I've seen it hanging from 3 different ribbons... No idea which is correct...
    5. Just got myself this little beauty... One thing though. The only other I've seen hanging from a ribbon had the ribbon of the Military Decoration for Exceptional Service or Acts of Courage or Devotion. Is that the proper ribbon for it? Is there a proper ribbon for it? CLICK ON PHOTO FOR FULL SIZE
    6. So far the RCAF ranks are well received by most, the army ranks on the other hand aren't as popular... Lukasz, the temporary rank of brigadier was a crown with 3 pips if memory serves. Back then nobody said brigadier-general, just brigadier, they weren't considered flag officers.
    7. You've got to get a lot better? Like... Really? Give yourself more credit than that bud! Your items are works of art and quite marketable!
    8. Following the return of distinctive service ranks in the Navy (executive curl) and more recently to the army, the RCAF is changing it's ranks and most badges to do away with the tri-service (army) gold and returning to the silver of old. Contrary to RAF ranks, the center of officers' ranks will be silver in lieu of a lighter shade of blue. Wings, shoulder titles, buttons, trade badges, all silver. Only the designation of a "private" will change returning to the old designation of "LAC", the chevron becoming a prop once again. 9. Is there a maker's mark or name behind the artillery badge? Might also be Canadian.
    10. In some's defence... To the unknowledgeable in French badges... Looks like a death's head...
    11. I looked at the latest pics and I was beaming from ear to ear... Wonderful work bud!
    12. Holy cow! You draw these free hand? You're even more talented then I'd previously given you credit for... And I gave you an A++++++++. These are awesome!
    13. Maybe it's due to poor colour quality in the article... We'll wait and see, they've been in line with history so far...
    14. It's uncanny how some people can capture a person's likeness in clay or on canvass... I am an absolute right off in that field. Looks great! Can't wait to see your weekly updates!
    15. Wow... Wow... Wow... And more wow...
    16. Sorry for being a bit off topic but... Doesn't the lady look like Magda Schneider?
    17. Check this LINK The army ranks were the same as the air force. Our air force ranks are also changing soon...
