Hi Hinrik, I don't think you have to worry about your tauchretter, post war tauchretters looked very different. Here's pictures of 2 tauchretters with the same letter "a" on it. You should look on Joe's site ( http://joe-tauchretter.tripod.com) he has a very nice site about tauchretters! he is expert on the tauchretter, maybe you can ask him. Also the post war tauchretters are on his site, have a look!

Thank you Michel and Gordon, Indeed the yellow eagle isn't an officer's eagle and the sweatband is not standard, I have read in "Die Kriegsmarine" from Angolia that such caps excist. Thanks for the advice (again!), I didn't buy it.

I found out that it's a ww2 French Navy Badge. I was hoping for a Kriegsmarine badge made in France, but the French Navy also had enamel badges.
