    1. .........next one : former bavarian soldier , now policeman I think , with eagle second and first class !!! Interesting is the combination on his medal bar with some bravery awards AND a war aid cross - not often seen...
    2. Here is one of the well known family VON TROTHA !!! Has anyone informations on Wolf von Trotha - military career , orders and awards , ships and oversee times ??? Everything is welcome... first picture shows him 1902 on SMS STEIN - look at his dagger !!!
    3. Here is a bavarian man with a nice medal bar , unfortunately the second from last is not to see.... the last one on the bar seems to be a spain merit cross. But what I really want to know is what that star is left from his iron cross 1.class ??? The picture is in really poor quality , no chance to get it better... sorry. thanks for all help Heiko
    4. Does anybody know this very high ranking Kriegsmarine officer - he has a 14-place ribbon bar and a iron cross 1.class... the quality of the picture is too bad to ID all the ribbons but he has a HOHX , austrian and turkish awards.... maybe someone knows his face... thanks for all help Heiko
    5. I checked a part of my photo collection today and deceided to put some photos on the table for discussion and just for your pleasure...you will see them in some of the ww1 subforums tonight... Here is a really really babyface looking young soldier of the Reichsmarine from mid 1920s - BUT - he has 3 bravery awards of ww1 , a navy wound badge of ww1 and a long service cross for 15 years !!! ah .... and not to forget he wears a Silesian eagle 1.class pinback but no 2.class on the medal bar !!! Great confusing picture....
    6. Wow......great picture !!! Please what is the correct name for the flying award he is wearing??? OEK number?
    7. Hello, from left to right: 1. Prussia / Imperial german reich : Iron cross 2.class 2. 3.Reich : war merit cross 2.class 3. Prussia / Imperial german reich : war aid cross 4. Grandduchy of Oldenburg : Friedrich August cross for war merit 2.class 5. 3.Reich : honour cross for frontfighters 6. 3.Reich : NSDAP ... 7. Bulgaria : war merit cross 8. Bulgaria : war rememberance medal 9. Hungary : war rememberance medal can you show us the reverse please... Heiko
    8. .......the main question is : is it a 4-place ribbon bar (with two nearly identical ribbons in the middle) or is it a 3-place ribbon bar (with one ribbon in the middle that is much wider than the other two) ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Both possibilities are a bit weired.... stripes look like Bremen hanseatic cross but then it would be very wide.... two identical ribbons only comes often in saxony but it doesn`t really look like it.... last ribbon with the swords should be honour cross but the stripes look more like the Kyffhäuser medal.... you see me a bit confused.... :speechless:
    9. :speechless1: ...... that of course explains his looking and his tailors work..... (just a joke.........cool down lovely country in the south)
    10. Tilo du hast einen gut bei mir!!! Vielen Dank für den Namen !!! Do you have a complete list of his awards ? Or any other dates from his life?
    11. WOW - again fast and (of course only a bit) magig Thank you for the name , do you know what the orders are I can`t see? And what is the goldene Vlies in english please?
    12. and the second good photo for this week , unfortunately without a date , name or anything else written on it but the photographer is from Sigmaringen , maybe this officer is a nobleman from this small line.... He wears a "Goldenes Vlies" around his neck , what is the word in english please...? Not often seen on german officers... One of the stars seems to be of the Black eagle order - the other one is really not good to see.... the medal bar is a bit hmmmm curious , first red eagle with swords then Long service cross and then Hohenzollern with swords ?!?! Or is N°2 something else??? Then comes what I think are two crosses for 1866 , the 1864 medal and the 1870 medal..... then an austrian cross and an unknown medal......... too much unknown here.....please help to give this man his name back...
    13. As it seems that Mr.RR wants to see new pictures today and solve new riddles - here is the one of the week Seems to be a civil doctor with some contacts to the army and the king.... On the neck I can see from Bavaria a MVO and a holy Michael and from Austria the Franz Josef order... MVO and FJO as breast crosses as well and a cross that seems to be OEK Nr.513/1 cross for civil doctors for the war 1866 -right? On the bar I can see a Merit order of the bavarian crown !!! beside a 1870 iron cross fro non-combattants !!! KDM 70/71 and Austrian iron crown are clear...so there are three left for you because I don`t want to guess.... Picture is taken in München , Bavaria , and there is something on the reverse that can be a date : 30.4.1887 3.........2...........1................... GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
    14. ..........does anyone know where the grave of Dr.Heim is??? I have some days free and time for a little holiday trip.... There was a large painting showing a later medal bar , or? do you have a picture of it Tilo?
    15. of course... everybody has a dealer opinion....and sometimes some people over the world share this opinion...some don`t - no problem. You want infos of the owner.... but you don`t want to discuss the piece you have or will get???? Interesting but a bit questionable... You are asking for the knowledge of people - of course you must allow them to discuss the piece - AND - the source of the piece is part of the discussion... if you don`t like discussions on your piece you should not ask questions on it on a discussion forum... ;)
    16. .........are you shure it is the right man...??? he is not listed in the regiment for 1911 too....
    17. .......as I thought much more interesting than the other pure saxon stuff MEZ2 an DSWA-medal in combination with a SEHO-medal with swordsclasp - if only he could talk to us when he got that medal.... great photo !!!
