    1. Dan. is a british battledress tunic transformed to be used by the Kriegsmarine u-boat crews, but this one is not good because is a denim model 40 and not the model 37, that was the one used by the german navy. Is very usual tu see this even in very reputeable dealers webs.
    2. On of the best, IMO, is the ATLANTIKWALL, from Heimdal. I s in french, but you have a very detailed information of the coastal artillery units in France.
    3. Yes they can used, but is very rare to see pictures of KA men with the lanyard. I have one but only can see the blue cord without any device.
    4. Depending of the color of the cord (blue or blue and aluminium) , the color of the device (black, silver or gold) and the kind of device, you have the four grades of each branch. - Devices colors: 1st grade black, 2nd silver, 3rd gilt and 4th gilt with the medallion (as mine). - Rifle and machine gun - blue cord with circular groove devices. - Light AA - blue cord with a winged shell device. - Chief gun crews - blue and aluminium cord with winged shell device. - Torpedo gunner - blue and aluminium cord with torpedo device. I hope this is clear.
    5. Yes this is the highest grade, the 4th, but it hasn't any device because this one is the quality model of the maker. With the blue cord could be for the rifle, machine gun or light flak gunners and observers, depending of the devices.
    6. This is not for a Marine K?nten Flak man, but for a Marine Bordflak Abt. man serving in Hamburg, St.Malo and Burdeux. I hope this helps also.
    7. As meyar has said the edelweiss was the traditional cap badge for the U-124, but many other sailors used it. After the sunk of the KM destroyers in Narvik, the crews of the ships fight in land with the mountain troops, and these gave to the KM sailors their caps badges as a gift. So after that many of them mantein the badge in their caps as a war emblem. This model of edelweiss I only have seen in an officer cap that has Bill Shea saoem years ago. The usual badge is the big one.
    8. Juan, as other have said the material in not the usual in a sailor bordm?tze, this is more usual in the officer quality caps, but for me is OK and probably is a private purchase cap. The lining cloth is looks also Ok for me. Nice cap.
    9. A very rare M43 KA tunic. Never used and looks as if neves has had the collar tabs and the eagle. It comes also with out soulders, but I have a perfect pair for it.
    10. My last finds. Tunic for a coastal artillery man. Never used and in really mint condition.
    11. Edgar, nice to hear from you here. Thanks for your kind words as always, and you know where you have a friend and an your home.
    12. Chris, really nice documents , if some time you are going to sell them, I would be pleased to add them to my KM medical items and docs. I have de ID documents of a DRK nurse added toa KM hospital, I will try to show them to you.
    13. Gordon, nice displays. With time you can find more or less all, but some of them are really rare to find. I have been looking for the "Flottentender Gazelle" for many years, but till now nothing.
    14. Hello Gunther, and welcome on board. You have a "happy" english, so don't worry about that.
    15. Hello all, some time out of this topic. de ruiter, please show as some more details of your M42 officer cap, and the star fish insigne. this one was used in KA units in Holland, Belgium and France, and is so difficult to find now days. Meyer, nice worn cap, it show a lot of war. I have just found in Denmark a model 43 mint tunic without the emblems. I think this is the rarest tunic of the KA. This is the 3rd time I have seen one. As soon as I have it I will show you. Regards from Spain.
    16. Chris, really nice tunic, and more if it comes from your family. Tunics with Narvik shields are very rare.
    17. Hello all, our friend Jasper (meyer) has asked me about the eagles that were used by junior NCOs a sailors with the collani or the officer eagles used in the peajackets. In the first you have differents models and materials, bevo, machine cotton enbroidered, hand embroidered celleon , ... so you have many different eagles, with different makers. the officer ones, in hand embroidered gold wire or celleon, as many models as tunic makers and embroiderers. To distinguish original from fakes, check the material, the back side, the finish, ..., and the experience to have look in your hands as many as you can. I hope this helps. Some examples for NCO and sailors.
    18. Rick most of them are named. The official frock coat has the label from the Ofizierkleiderkasse of Wilhemshaven, with the name ?Reg. Rat Dr. M?ller? and the date ?22.11.38?.M?ller. Now I have only this picture of other tunic (Mecanic Oberleutnant), I hope you can find him. Next time I move the uniforms I will check the other labels. Thanks for all.
