    1. I have seen tailor made examples... perhaps this is one such piece of insignia for the C level Glider's Badge?
    2. After talking and PMing several respected members/collectors with much more experience, I will hold on to this set. There seems to be a great chance that this tunic is legit, but not General Staff!! I have a lot of digging to do, but this might be one of those unpublished oddities.
    3. Homeless... nope. I am sure that they found him a nice can shaped house
    4. I have never seen anything like it. Are the images engraved or in ink?
    5. Are they military or traditional swords? I would love to see some photos. I have never seen such items for sale. I say that if the items speak to you and you can afford them, get them. Chances are, you will not see similar pieces in the near future.
    6. Here is something I put together on the topic... I hope that it helps!! http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=18187
    7. Hi Gary, There was a set of loops for 1 badge and for a 3-4 placed ribbon bar. Paul
    8. I have never seen one on tunic material. Can you please post a photo or a link?
    9. There are signs of replaced collar tabs and perhaps shoulder boards. Although, the job seems to have been completed in a very professional manner and done long ago with non glowing thread.. PM sent about the price of the tunic and trousers.
    10. Thank you Rick and Francois! What parameters are you referring to Francois?
    11. Hi Francios, Thank you for the reply. Your cool and level headed thought process is just what I need right now! Thank you! Your points are very good areas for consideration. There was a Veterinary arm that was established in 1943, yet this was for EM's and NCO's only(per Vol3 of Angolia's Uniforms and Traditions of the Luftwaffe, in the Field Divisions Section). Veterinary Officers were loaned by the Heer and retained their Heer uniforms.
    12. The date is 15Feb1939. I do know that General Staff Officers were selected from the ranks, yet I have never thought that this included Officials. Is there a roster out there that lists the Luftwaffe General Staff Officers during the war? Nothing would please me more than this uniform being legit!
    13. I have never heard of an official being accepted into the General Staff?? If I am missing something, please do tell me.
    14. I am in the process of making arrangements for the uniform's return!
    15. I am going to return it for a refund, of course! The name tag indicates that this tunic should belong to a Wartime Official or Sonderfuhrer. This is a shame because I would have loved to have another such tunic.
    16. I agree!! Rick is a Godsend! The only bummer is that this label is inside of the General Staff tunic!!!
    17. Thanks guys... but there may be a bit of bad news, based upon the label. Thanks to Rick's help, this tunic is labeled to an Official!!! http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=19816&hl= Thankfully the dealer is a very reputable one. I am just bummed as I really liked the set.
    18. Hello, This is the tag from my General Staff Oberst tunic. Can anyone make out anything from it? Any help is greatly appreciated!! Kind regards Paul
