Here is my collection of Heer Signals Blitzes it stands thus far. Being a sucker for waffenfarbe, these are a natural magnet for me! The first set for infantry

I know that these are not popular to collect but there have to be some out there to post!!!

I have not seen too many(MAYBE two) of the single Westwall mounts. I am thinking that this went to a civilian worker/Laborer?

Oh... I almost forgot to state that his signature(name) is on a lot of the comic drawings(gas mask, docto examining, etc)

The only example I have is seen below... the green backing has been heavily ravished by moths, yet the face of the board is in very nice shape. The light blue secondary waffenfarbe was used by the Judicial Officials. IAW "Uniforms and Traditions of the German Army 1933-1945" Vol 2, by Angolia. pg 134 Lets see yours!

Rick, I agree that this book was assembled post war as his dogtag and soldbuch photo are in the scrapbook. I am still very happy with this book and cannot wait to have it translated! In what manner was he "cheerful" when he described his deployment East? I dont feel that he saw any action or patients at all. If feel that he spent all of his time at various HQ units, drawing posters or doing various other odds and ends. I would love to get a copy of his Soldbuch! I think I saw a photo of him wearing a buttonhole KVK2 ribbon. I dont think that he was in the East too long as there is no photo with him wearing the coveted Winter War medal. Regards Paul

Thank you for your response Glenn. So basically the Doctor or Veterinarian is someone of prior service that was recalled into the military? Why would they have a different waffenfarbe though? Did they have different "benefits" from those in the regular military(half pay, reservists, etc)? Are these boards pretty rare? Have you ever seen a medical board with this waffenfarbe? I would love to add one to my collection! Thank you again. Paul
