Soviet Soviet & Eastern Block Quiz - 2008
Christophe replied to Christophe's topic in Russia: Soviet: Other Militaria
Hey, I'm back after 10 days travelling in India and Singapore... The fact is that we are now only 8 Members to animate and post in the Quiz. This does not mean that more Members don't read and look at it, but only a few of us actively participate. I think we have now to solve Marc's challenge, and maybe for a while try to post easier challenges to attract new Members, or make some come back... What do you think ? And, now, back to Marc's question and hints. Cheers. Ch. -

I have bought it in the version below; but not got yet time to see it... : http://www.potemkine.fr/catalogue_RM.php In this edition, it include interviews by the film maker and the main actor. Christophe replied to jabnus's topic in Russia: Soviet Orders, Medals & Decorations
Hi Gaston. My pleasure. But, reading hand-written Russian is so difficult for me (I'm just a beginner in Russian) that I would prefer a more experienced Member to give you the right names. If no one else helps you, I promise I will try... Cheers. Ch. -

Close to the former Stalingrad. Southern Front. 3. What was the maximum size (approximate) of the battlefield? 250 km. 4. How long did the battle last (beginning/ending dates)? Operation Uranus took place from 19 November 1942 to 2 February 1943 5. What was the first unit engaged in the opening battle? 3 complete armies, the 1st Guards Army, 5th Tank Army, and 21st Army. 6.
