    1. Hi, Avsar has better knowledge on these Orders then me, I am sure he will reply soon. I just wanted to add: 1. There are fakes also made in Turkey. But mainly are made in Armenia in thesedays. 2. Mecidis have been awarded since the Crimean War until the Republic. Earlier Crimean types has convex reverse instead of concave like the ones shown. Depending on the year and need there has been restrikes. Some had been very nicely made by the French jewellers. They usually have their trade marks on the reverse. 3. So there are fakes and originals. 4. That zic zac sign was made while getting a sample of the silver to check its purity. Then there is the small "shah" sign which shows that the medal is silver. You can see this at 10 o'clock on the real one and at 12 o'clock on the fake. The stamp on the middle is the seal of the Turkish Mint " Darphane-i Amire" Regards Demir
    2. Josemann, It may be a good idea to give the name of the dealer, city&country to make sure that none of our members also mistakenly buy any medals from him.
    3. Dr. Joseph Mengele (Angel of Deathi), Rudolf Höss (Auschwitz), Joseph Kramer (Belsen). Very dangerous trio

    8. "This guy may just be one of the RSFSR military advisors, sent to Kemal Pasha in early 1921, when the Harp Medalyasi was still issued." Sorry no. Kemal Pasha met with General Frunze and Diplomats but he had no Russian or any other national military advisors. On the other hand, what might be a Soviet NCO advise Kemal Pasha? Turkey received good amount of money and arms from the then Soviets. You may say that, why not one of the NCOs received the TWM for his bravery while transporting armaments or a loot from one of the battles in the Turkish eastern border, you might be correct should the age was right, Anyway, JapanX's sixth sense says: Most likely he borrowed these three RS too Self-made hero
    9. I also would like to add that the "North Star" badge is a perfect and true example
    10. NORTH STAR (Kutup Yildizi or Simal Yildizi in Turkish) of the Turkish Brigade and Turkish Brigade Badge for the Turkish troops. IMO te Turkish Badge is for the 5th and followind Brigades. Earlier ones do not have "Turkey" writen on the flag.
