    1. I know this is not military related, but I hope the "powers above" will allow it to be viewed. I'm sure modelers will appreciate them. This gentlemen was AWESOME! http://www.viralnova.com/grandpa-carvings/
    2. They used to do Civil Air Patrol ribbons that way (plastic covered). Bottom row. right two ribbons. (middle-Summer Encampment) (Right-Senior Member Recruiter) Next row up-right ribbon (Cadet Certificate of Proficiency)
    3. LOVE the actions of the horse's hoofs! Beautiful work.
    4. Fantastic photos! http://www.alternatewars.com/Bomb_Loading/Bomb_Guide.htm Ed
    5. I never got a HS ring. As an Army BRAT I went to three high schools in four years! Started in France, continued in California and graduated in Georgia. I did get some HS sports letters (Tennis and Rifle Team) but that was it. Ed
    6. John, Thanks for your entries. It is very interesting to see how my original post has "blossomed" into all this information. Thanks again, Ed
    7. Go to any search engine and type in National Defense Service Medal. You'll get a lot of info.
    8. REF #13: John, Thanks so much for posting the web address for the Berlin Brigade. My Mom is 90 and has Dementia, however, when I showed her the pics on the site, she readily identified the type of housing she and Dad lived in. I know this is a fact as we have other pics that were taken while they were stationed there. It was enjoyable to travel back with her and listen to some of the "more reliable" memories. Thanks again, Ed
    9. Long Thrust, Thanks for your comments. It would be nice if you would post (at least) your first name for us. Thanks again. Ed
    10. Another Christmas present from my son. Please open the 3rd picture. It has some ID numbers on it. Long shot, but perhaps someone may have some info on what it means. As best as I can make out they are: 16-50 R-795 The last two are pics of both ends, just an FYI. Thanks in advance Ed
    11. I believe I had posted this elsewhere but looks like it would fit here too. Pics of my Grandfather's helment
    12. More presents for my police car collection. 1/32nd scale. I have bought a gun safe so I'm going to add glass shelves to my old gun cabinet and use it for a display case. Figure I'll be able to get about 15 or so shelves.
    13. Given to me recently. Items my Father-in-Law carried with him when he deployed to France in WW I.
    14. Gunner, How about a picture of your howitzer canister please?
    15. Thanks for your comment Chuck. Much appreciated.
    16. Now you make me homesick :-( We were stationed at RAF Bentwaters/Woodbridge for three years and loved EVERY minute. Thanks for the memories.
    17. Thanks for your comment Strapper. I appreciate you making time to look.
    18. Found this in an old trunk. Some REALY neat instructions for the soldier of the day.
