    1. Ok, so let's assume only the Liberty cross was awarded. Is it possible to track the former owner? I mean possible regarding the two Prussian decorations AND the fact that he got the Finnish award? 25 years Dienstauszeichnung + the fact that he possibly did not get any Hindenburg medal due to his death. And the Mecklenburg medal - maybe he was in the Jägerbattailon No. 14?
    2. I see the point. Ok, the medal of liberty anyhow does not help very much to identify the person. Or the liberty cross is wrong in the ensemble.
    3. Hello everybody, I could aquire these medals. It was said that the medals should have belonged to a German Officer who participated in the Liberation war in Finland 1918. The medals are: Prussia: Roter Adler-Orden, cross 4th class Prussia: Kronenorden, cross 4th class Iron cross Finnish Liberty cross 2nd class Finnish Liberty medal 1st class 1918 Offiziers-Dienstauszeichnung für 25 Jahre Centenar medal Mecklenburg-Schwerin Militärverdienstkreuz 2nd class 1914 Braunschweiger (Brunswick) Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2nd class 1914 My hope to identify him with your help is raised by the 2 Prussian decorations. Any ideas are very much appreciated. Cheers
    4. Dzien dobry, it is a German manufacture. I have a Liberty cross first class 1918 and the manufacture or style of production looks similar. Detlef
    5. Another fake from am-militaria: http://m.ebay.de/itm/194-Ordensspange-1914-33-9tlg-Reuss-Finnland-Osterreich-Mecklenburg-/331952527324?hash=item4d49e997dc%3Ag%3AqroAAOSw65FXwY8b&_trkparms=pageci%3A521ab568-6e06-11e6-93e5-74dbd1803c16%7Cparentrq%3Ad7260e851560a6228f34635dfff99cca%7Ciid%3A3
    6. http://www.kube-auktionen.de/ lot 823 starting price 2000 € sometimes good stuff at this auction house next auction 22.10.2016 regards Detlef
    7. Yeah, that is a good point. But why to fake - professionally - a Frackspange? Frackspangen are - as far as I am concerned - not that popular than "normal" medal bars. This would be an exceptional and rare fraud in history: Faking everything so professional...and in the end, not trying to maximize the potential profit...like planning a perfect murder but still get caught. I am just defending this medal bar...may the history play a dirty trick in that case
    8. Hello collector-friends, yesterday I blacklightened the Frackspange at an auctionhouse in Stuttgart - nothing glew...and the nice owner of the auction house told that it looks quite genuine. Also the miniatyre chain. So, the search goes on...maybe in the meantime (3 years since I started the topic), some valuable hints have been found to reveal the history of this bar. Regards Detlef
    9. Nice bar. The soldier received the finnish liberation medal in 1938, but did not get the Hindenburg cross in 1935. maybe just a small part of a formely large medal bar detlef
    10. Hello, just saw the Auti Altvater bar in Andreas Thies auction catalogue in 2005. Is this bar "gone forever"? Or did it find its way back from the thief? ...I fell in love to this bar... Detlef
    11. Oskar Pirinen is also a famous participant weithin the Jäger movement Regards Detlef
    12. Hello Christer, thank you. On the award document for the second class it is still written "Hauptmann"...so maybe the Finnish authorities mixed sth up. Regards Detlef
    13. Hello collector-friends, is someone of you familiar with a guy named Erich Beschke? He received the Finnish Liberty cross 2nd class in 1918. At that time he was a Hauptmann. Later on he also received the Finnish Medal of Liberation. In which unit did he serve? What was his CV? Why did he receive the 2nd class of the Liberty cross? Was he a commander of a unit in the Finnish Liberation war? Your help appreciated. Detlef
    14. Hello, found this picture of Göring's medals. Can someone tell me where this picture might have been taken? Thanks Detlef
    15. Yeah, I know that the mini-chain is still available - but look at the price For that price you will get - with a bit of luck - a "normal" medal bar of an Baltic veteran... Maybe we should collect and each of us can "possess" the chain about 2 month / year
    16. Thanks Glenn and Dave for some input according to von Kaisenberg. So it seems that after fighting Bolschewism in Finland and helping to free this country his career went into a wrong direction, thus to help to extinguish the Jews...poor and disappointing career end.
    17. Hello collector-friends. 18. Hello Gents, am I right - was this Feldspange awarded to Kaisenberg, Ernst-Moritz v., Hptm., *16.8.1882; FinnFK2X (24.5.18)? Can someone of you tell me his career? When did he die? Regards Detlef
    19. Hi guys and girls, another fake Imperial medal bar on German ebay: ... am-militaria
