    1. The Ink Stamp has the Hungarian Crown and Tri Colors ..it's interesting that the Hungarian Fascists still retained the symbol of the Crown on items ..even on the "Levente" Youth crest
    2. Hi Gents, Tonight I've been going through some of my older cases and have been running into a few interesting items I thought I'd share with you. This is an Armband from the Arrow Cross (the Hungarian version of the NSDAP) After Admiral Horthy abdicated the Throne in 44 ( with a nudge from Adolph) ..the Arrow Cross took control . As soon as Horthy was out ..many were rounded up by the "Death Squads" . It's a very rare Brassard
    3. This was a Vet bring back and ..I think it was a un-offical award given to Vol who returned from Spain. It does have the official Savoy Knot and the Fasces but ..I have not been able to find any pictures ref of it in any of my books. Have any of you seen one like it before ? Thanks --Mike
    4. Thanks BYF ...Four years ago I met a local old-timer who just won a round with Cancer. He had a nice Collection and but selling it all off. I ended up with a nice Trapdoor, a 1900 Krag , 2- 1903's, a P-17, an H&R Garand and an M1 Carbine , 2 Mausers, a Lend Lease Enfield and 1-Jap 99 carbine ..all for $2,900.00 ! For that money ...I decided to "broaden" my collection a little. Besides , when I setup Public displays ..the spread of US Inf weapons comes in handy. It's nice showing the "evolution" of the US Infantry Rifle ..the Vet's like it. The deals are still out there but , it's getting harder to find them. The Uzi,Sterling,Semi Thompson, Semi Mac 11 ,M1A etc are all my plinkers ...plinkers are a good thing
    5. And how ! I can't believe how fast these went up in value. They were together in a pawn shop ...someone had just sold them to the guy and he was not even sure what the G43 was ..I bought them really fast. That K98/ZF41 is all matching and in wonderful condition Thanks Paul ---Mike
    6. Yes ...this is the one that came with that G43 for $600 (for both) ..the 98 with the ZF41
    7. There are 2 small holes that line up with the back of the bar where the loops were but , were ripped off (not carefully removed). Almost as if someone pulled the bar off the shirt. Another set of loops still there for the EK and one set for the Turk Iron Crescent and one for a wound badge. There's no ID tag in the uniform so I don't have a clue who's it was. I'm hoping that someday I'll see a picture of an older SA General wearing this setup ..but , who knows? The guy could have been given an honorary rank or maybe retired right after his promotion. It's an early style shirt (no shoulderboard) but ..it has a cufftitle that came after the shoulderboard reg came in. The man prob wore it twice a year so nobody would give him any grief about not having a regulation uniform. Like many things in this hobby ...we find the pieces History leaves behind.. and then try to fit things back together so it makes sense ..60 years later.
    8. Thanks Jason and Paul ! Here's another one I forgot to post here since it's a bar ..nice cased set that came with an early BrigadeFhr SA Shirt. Great cut-out that fits the bottom of the EK
    9. My odd ball Bucket of Stuff ...I re-did the room a little and can't figure out where to put it yet. Some good ..some junk.
    10. My 33/40 ..also all matching , a little worn but ..still there
    11. Here's the Kreigs model ..It's the first Mauser I've ever owned that still had the original varnish intact
    12. I picked this late war K43 up this year ...the vets son had it and a late war Kreigs model K98 that his Dad brought home . In 1945 , his dad's unit found a Train's Boxcar with crates of brand new weapons. He took this and the Kreigs model. This K43 has no side rail on it
    13. The G43 with a ZF4 Scope is all matching and came with the orig manual and spare parts in the butt stock. I found it ( and the K98 with a ZF41 scope) in a Pawn shop in Denver back in 1978 ...$600.00 for both Rifles , those days are long gone huh?
    14. Hi Paul , Here are the pictures you asked for ...I took a few single shots as well as the group pictures. Originally I only collected WW2 Firearms but , I ended up running into some deals I could not walk away from . You know how THAT works .
    15. It's a PERFECT example of an on-going battle I've been having with some other collectors lately(UGH) it's so much easier for some collectors to label something as a fake rather than look into an item and find an explanation, try to understand why..or keep an open mind with a simple question ---is it possible ,what if ? ( unless it has something blatant like "GERMANY" cast in the back ) I posted my round Pilots Badge on another site because a few said it was a fantasy item ..I got it from the Vet ...one of the other members even admitted he knew of the vet. I believe it's real and that these badges were produced late war ...but rather than whip out the sword and dive in .. I left them in the perfect collecting world they live in where everything makes sense. Nice badge with a personality Warlord --Mike
    16. Just a hunch but ...since the Swastika was banned after the War and the new Penal Codes 86 & 86a prob were not on the books yet ...maybe the orig owner though that by putting his SS pin on it and covering the swas ,he was legal. Imagine if it was his membership stickpin and his # was on the back so he could be traced ....just a thought ....I know what you're gonna say "Thanks Mike , you can stop thinking now "
    17. Jan ...I hate to tell you this ..but ..look at the area around the Eagles eye ...also close to his beak. Do you see it ??? I think it's that Asian Bird Flu Virus ...one of mine had the same symptoms and ..it can be treated at this stage .. That's a great Spange ..good score !
    18. Paul ...It looks like we have the same "taste" in Furniture and "Decor" ....is that 8mm ammo box still full ? I saw an "SA" marked sell for $895.00 this summer so, you have a winner there . Nice collection Paul
    19. 5 years ago I took the G43(w/ZF4) K09 ( w/ZF41) a 91/30 (w/PU scope)and the SVT (w/PE )out ..the SVT is still very accurate , I was stunned. I thought ehh..60 years old, not exactly a high tech weapon ..but it's dead on. Actually ..they all were fantastic but I was not really impressed with the ZF41 ..1-1/2 power just does not help that much
