    1. 2 out of 2! Thank you both. That is a tremendous help to me. But I understand you have just whetted my appetite! I am likely to spring more identification issues on you. God bless. VR Joe
    2. That makes some sense! Does anyone know if there is a comparison picture anywhere? Based on the speed and wonderment of you guys doing the identification I ought to put more pictures up. Thank you for all your help.
    3. While I am looking for that guy here is another one. ps1938 by joerookery, on Flickr Thank you for any help you can give me.
    4. Does anyone have any idea who this might be? Thank you in advance. ps1927 by joerookery, on Flickr
    5. Dave, This is fantastic! How in the heck did you do it? Tracking backwards from the medals? Thank you very very much.
    6. There is no identification of this guy though the cross Looks Catholic. Can he be identified through his decorations? ps1876 by joerookery, on Flickr
    7. Here is another picture. Glenn already helped out on this but there are additional questions that have surfaced. Perhaps you could all address them. Thank you in advance! ps1427 by joerookery, on Flickr ps1427a by joerookery, on Flickr from Xip I think the first name in the red ink is Arnold. Maybe Arnold Teubel was the owner of the picture, as opposed to the depicted, who is Wilhelm Eugen Teubel? I wonder what the dates 1872/76 refer to? from Glenn J. Major Arnold Willibald Eugen Teubel. 8. Thank you for your help! I posted both of these answers with attribution to the photo on Flickr. Thank you again.
    9. I have this picture of the individual and his wife. However, I know nothing about him. Besides the names of his children. Is it possible that someone could look him up and tell me he is? Thank you in advance. ps1856 by joerookery, on Flickr Oberst Adolf Keutner and his wife Hedwig Keutner Adolf Keutner, Vater von Magda, Philipp, Irma u, Fritz; Fritz gefallen 1914 [KIA 1914]

    12. This does not solve anything but does provide some examples. I believe the 1st one is a Bavarian diplomat. ps1512 by joerookery, on Flickr I am not positive but I think this guy might be part of the castle guard company of Württemberg. This was made of NCOs only and consisted of 50 people. I know they had a gala uniform which was somewhat different and more ornate however, the cord on the right side certainly looks to be the same. It is a very good question and maybe this guy is just some sort of royal house servant but I think not. I would love to find out myself. ps1465 by joerookery, on Flickr

    14. I agree, the first two pictures are from the Franco-Prussian war! I learned something from that discovery. I am not so sure exactly what number three is nor do I know enough about number four. Lots of fun though!
    15. Dave thank you for your answer! Really I was still a bit befuddled before your explanation. But thank you for taking the time looking back at this old thread. I have the 200 series pretty well in hand but you helped out with L JR 87. Thank you again. VR Joe
    16. I have four pictures old photographs from the Kingdom of Württemberg From the 1866 war or before.
