    1. Thanks for posting this, Lukasz. At present this "Rest of the World" section is pretty chaotic and, if I could, I'd do some organization. These NATO awards are interesting, and rarely discussed. So many just seem to snarl at them and let it go at that. Thanks again.
    2. Yes, nice, but totally meaningless and confusing.
    3. Leigh, you meet some strange Indians. Mine, as I said, are where they belong, over at http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=2450 and in other topics in that sub-forum. My pre-1947 stuff is here. Or, you could just look in at http://sagongs.ipbhost.com/ .
    4. I have seen cased sets as low at $10 or $15, though I have NO CLUE what eBay prices might be.
    5. The Nut Al-Ma'rkat is very common. Strangely so. Suspect the Italian makers have been flogging them out the back door. When I get around to a Saudi Arabian thread, I'll add it there.
    6. A technicality, friends. The queen has no authority as India (and Pakistan and Balngaldesh) are self-governing republics. I discuss INDEPENDENT Indian awards over in the international forum. The "empire" in India is dead and no one I know mourns that fact.
    7. Pinback (type 2), #1412, 2 Dec 1980. Almost surely for long service, but, still . . . . Need to make time to get the documents up . . . .
    8. The group to his wife, Galsan Altangerel, is over at http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=14475. Not all his orders are documented, as will be seen when I can get them posted (alas), though the provenance is good.
    9. While it may take me a while to get all the documents up, here is the group to Colonel (at least) Byamba Gezegt. Part one of his medals:
    10. And, finally, the document interior for the Russian Marshal Zhukov Centenary Medal, dated 2 December 1996.
    11. And a closeup of the veteran (out from under the green).
    12. And with the familiar (and equally ugly) green plastic interior. "Document No.4316 "This document is given to the citizen of the Gurvan Zagal county of Dornod Province, Mr.Jamts JANTSAN who actively participated in the smashing the Japanese militarist army in the liberation war of 1945. "It gives the right to be served without standing in line in the hospital, post and other public services. "(square stamp on the right top side: the badge of VOC (Veteran of the Combat) is awarded) "Minister of the Defense of MPR "Colonel General "J.Yondon "March 6th, 1986"
    13. Document exterior for the War Participant Veteran badge (C04). The familiar fragile nasty plastic cover.
    14. Document interior for the Medal "60 Years of the Armed Forces of the MPR" (A54), dated 26 August 1985.
    15. Document interior for the Medal "60 Years of the Mongolian People's Revolution" (A53), dated 3 January 1982.
    16. Document interior for Medal "40 Years of the Victory at Khalkin Gol" (A51), dated 11 August 1979.
    17. Document interior for Medal "30th Anniversary of the Victory over Militaristic Japan" (A50), dated 5 Feb 1976.
    18. Interior of (hardcover) document for Medal "50 Years of the Mongolian People's Revolution" (A46), dated 25 June 1971.
    19. Document interior for Medal "50th Anniversary of the Victory at Khalkin Gol" (A45), dated 15 August 1969.
    20. Two more: Red Banner Combat Valor -- 4953 -- 29 August 1995 Medal "We Won" -- 52388 -- 28 December 1990 More to come . . . .
    21. Inside: "Surname Jamts "Given name JANTSAN "is awarded with the medal "We Won" through the 59th resolution of December 28th 1990 of the President of MPR "President of MPR" A 28 December 1990 (!) award of the Medal "We Won", #52388. A shame the medal is missing (anyone??).
    22. This medal is missing, but the document is very interesting. Late plastic document.
    23. And the second one: "Mr.Jantsan is a deputy of the 28th electoral district of the 8th people's election of the sum (county) & district deputies. "Executive administration chief of the People's Deputy assembly of the Dornod province "June 28th, 1967"
