    1. No record here, but this (rather spooky-looking) guy's photo just joined my files:
    2. You must have a pipeline to The Researcher! :envy: (Need to send him ANOTHER e-mail.)
    3. Fascinating, Bob. Is there documentation for this??
    4. And the nasty-muddy-xeroxed photo (but same as booklet, I think, with artificial jaw).
    5. Inside, part 1. (Where'd the BLOB come from!) Have scanned in many pieces due to small size or writing. And there WILL be overlap.
    6. And, at the risk or over-stretching Comrade Rick, the service card, part 1:
    7. Thanks for all this, Hugh. Somebody, someday (hint-hint) needs to do something by way of reference, however premininary. See how long it has taken us to get something on "North Korea" and they are "the enemy" (to some of us), but we have NOTHING on "South Korea"!!! Why not work it up here and then, maybe, OMSA later on. What they have is pretty thin: http://www.omsa.org/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=552 (for a number of reasons, I don't do much over there anymore ).
    8. As most of this bundle is in untranslated Russian (sorry, Rick), let me just add the translations of two items that give some context for this group. I still need to sort xeroxes and award cards (a 5-inch stack). Translation 1--
    9. OK, while he has been mentione over at http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=3285 (and, I think, elsewhere), let me work on giving him the complete treatment he deserves. Award record card.
    10. Another picture of him (no Lenin Prize yet) but suggests what has strayed from this gigantios group that, apparently, went to the "four winds". And quite (!) a nice "collection" he had! Also got the recommendations for his two HSUs, :envy:.
    11. FASCINATING!!!! Is it possibly possible that South Korean stuff may be more confusing than the Taiwanese awards? Could that be? Chinese imperial is starting to seem straightforward by comparison. Thanks!
    12. Nice. Always good to see how the research can expand the tale. A shame the others have strayed, but they may be out there somewhere.
    13. Guards Lt. Colonel Mikhail Tolkachev Only part of the group shown, there's SOOOO MUCH. See: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=5053
    14. They publish whatever address you give them to have the journal sent to. There are other problems with the society, don't get me started, but the journal is good.
    15. After a few months, back issues are sold to non-members. See their website. http://www.omsa.org/ The idea, however, is to JOIN. I have several more Mongolian articles in the pipeline.
    16. Reference: Graham Wilson, "The Australian Army Personal Numbering System in World War II, " JOMSA: Journal of the Orders and Medals Society of America 59, 4 (July-August 2008): 3-13.
