    1. As seen in an Austrian auction 3 years ago, was described as "Miniaturbarette des Generalmajors Fürst Wenzel Liechtenstein" - unfortunately nothing I could afford
    2. A nice Alexander Newski as seen on eBay a year ago, one eagle were damaged ....
    3. Hello Nick. Thanks again for enlightening me, So he is chineese, which means that I once again managed to post in the wrong forum . Regards, Lars
    4. I just found this series of photos which I forgot I had when looking for something else. They were given to me 30 years ago by a man who had been visiting some friends in Germany and documented his visit. I never asked when and where and now it's too late. But they probably give an good impression of how such an event would take place in a not so big city as seen from a tourists point of view and may be of interest for some of the tinnies collectors . A tinnie would have been made, but which one? Enjoy!
    5. Hello. I was looking in a box I haven't touched for at least 10 years and found this framed photo of a couple which I believe must be Japaneese. Could any of you experts confirm that this is a Japaneese gentleman or diplomat? Seems he's wearing a Commander of the British Empire and a GC star of the Portugese Order of Christ. Regards, Lars
    6. If you look at the suspension ring this could suggest that this was once a bronze example, but noone can probably tell for sure. I'm just wondering why you would go for this example when a perfect one in either bronze or silver can be had for a modest price?
    7. Beautiful item, especially the group in post # 138, that's one I'd like to have. But it seems that you by accident overlooked this little gem that were sold in the 2010 M&E sale of the Durham Orders .....
    8. Hi Peter. Miniatures is allways a difficult issue. I don't see it as a recent production, but it resembles a specific type sometimes seen in British group. Although the following photos is not the best quality (it's not a group I have) I would say that your St Anne is quite similar to the St Anne in this group is you look at the way the Saint is painted, the ring around the center medaillion and the dirty looking black enamel. As the group bears a Spink label it could be logic to assume that this could be a Spink production. Just my thoughts, Lars
    9. Have a few Now I'd like to get your opinion on this one, I've had it for many years and it is the only non christian one I have. Somehow I'm not so keen on the center, but on the other hand it doesn't seem to have been messed with in any way, further it doesn't resemble the known Hungarian fakes and I got it from a source where I would not expect to get a fake, meaning an antique dealer who hasn't anything else into O&D, he apparently got it from a private estate. Could I have your opinion, have you seen any similar?
    10. Indeed it is . Perhaps you could also be interested in one for 20 high sea voyages?
    11. Now that we're into Saint Michael, here's two others from m collection. Wild Card, that's a small beauty you got, congratulations!
    12. You could also enjoy this pretty old Bravery Sword, try to take a close look at the George Or this ......
    13. What a small beauty, I could easily think of a better home for that one Thanks for sharing!
    14. For some reason I have allways liked this particular decoration, both the Imperial and the Provisorial version: Regards, Lars
    15. It seems that I now have a nice but incomplete German chain and a loose somewhat rare imperial Russian miniature . The only thing that bothers me is that if I had a chain with the first 3 awards and one missing, why would one complete it with THIS decoration, why not choose a 1914-18 War Cross or something similar and less expensive (on the collectors market)? Thanks to all, Lars
