Reverse and shot of the missing eagle ....seems they went up through the ribbon to remove it ...backing stiching has not been touched!

This arrived today, a nice Luftwaffe non-com medal and ribbon bar set! Unfortunately the eagle has been taken off the medal bar... but you can see whare it was and that it was a luftwaffe eagle, also the ribbon bar confirms this! Let me know what you think! Pierce

Well he was awarded something else! Hoping for a Zahringer Lion because as you know i found this! I know there is an added spange.....but how does it compare to the one being worn in the pic?

Hi all! What were Luftwaffe Gen.Maj. Hans Erdmann's awards on his ribbon bar? I have seen a pic on the Axis History research site, his ribbon bar has 6 ribbons. Can identify 5 of them- Ek, ?, HCX, 18yr, 4yr, Sudetenland....can these be verified? what is award no.2? Thanks to all who assist! Pierce

As for the Bavarian-- PLEASE slip all those flopping around rings back under the edges of the ribbons where they belong before all that enamel gets dashed off swinging around. Rick

I think this is a very good match to my ribbon bar. no device on the olympic decoration and the 12yr eagle is slightly lower than the 25yr...just like mine! what do the rest of you think? thanks Pierce
