    7. The cord is always made from aluminium and the disc is made from hollow stamped brass with a bronze, silver or gold plating. They never used plastic! Have you got pics of it?

    12. Should be one of the first ones. Maybe this one was awarded for a WW1 Silver Citation Star? It is maker marked "BBB Co Phila." = "Bailey, Banks & Biddle, Philadelphia" and got the serial number "18801":
