    1. Both original pieces without need seen the reverse....
    2. As the Chetnik daggers concern, thank you Paja once more for the photos and scaning the web for us. We said about them, nothing new, the same old "Leskovac made" products, popping up once more form the same seller.
    3. Not exactly, Bubbles and Soldering all over the place, you will slowly learn to recognize them from miles...
    4. All of the above badges, copies and really feel bad for the Ebay members that spend their hard earning cash on these items, I do not wish to say garbage due respect to the Original themselves and what these things trying to imitate... :/ In some months, the guys will come here to promote their collection and they will have a big suprise from the answers here and that's the good thing of this forum.
    5. Mine I guess, never saw a number bigger than this badge
    6. For the Serbian "Ljotic" Saint George badge, there are two variations. One is with Pin and catch and numbers location on the left middle side ( like with the badges on the photos from the previous page) and the other variation is with Nuts, two of them, Up and down of the badge. Now about the numbering, seems the series made with pin and catch was larger in number and they have indeed zero in front, I have seen original with 0****** The ones with nuts attaching device, are with low numbers ( three mostly ) and no zero in front and you can find them on the right side of the upper Nut. The two badges that Paja brought pictures are indeed copies, the numbers are similar like those, but they didn't do so good job ( The original pieces have "jumby" numbers- by that I mean not always in a straight line - and these numbers are not the same visually as the original ones). I am sorry that I do not have pictures to provide, I do not posses a Ljotic Saint George badge.....
    7. Seems we post the same things at the same time? Hehehe
    8. In my opinion the Chetnik badge is Original, of course if I could have it in my hand for better inspection ,weight and all, I would be 100% sure. But doesn't look that this one is a Copy. PII of course one of the rarest Chetnik items, variation for Bosnian Chetniks to own a badge with Latinic and not Cyrilic letter. Books for me of course is OZNAKE one of the best and from recently the "Military insignia in Serbia 1845-1945" reference book, both have some nice pieces to examine. Just the book from Babac, doesn't mention much the Chetnik badges from between wars and of course the ones like the above, issued during and after the war,I do not know the reason why. Both books are warmly recommended....
    9. Aye, Indeed both are from NEDIC administration Serbian State Guard, because the badge for Officers of Serbian Border Guard had an Edelweiss at the bottom, but they are similar. All three badges of Serbman's photo are 100% genuine, especially the Chetnik badge in the middle is ULTRA rare. If they are yours, can you give us a clue of purchase source, or if is from a friend, where they are located? You don't have to mention names...
    10. PS: Item #123 has a leather scabbard from German hunting Solingen Dagger knife of the 50's
    11. Greetings Guys, All of the above pieces (except of course the ones that you post from Belgrade Museum) are fantasy pieces, copies. What I found out that especially the ones that Paja post at the previous page, they are "Made in Leskovac" from a well known guy that can make these copies and he supplied some Ebay sellers, some people been tricked ( I know one from Slovenia) that even when he receive them he couldnt recognize the copies untill he post them in a forum and they told him about. So, I urge you to beware when it comes to purchases on Ebay, as also I have concerns about the item at post #125 but until the dagger comes in your hands, you never know these days.....and maybe then it's too late.So BEWARE!!! Last but no least, in a recent fair, I saw some copies of very rare Serbian badges, like the St.George Lijotic Breast badge and the Serbian Kingdom academy badge. Two pieces of each, it was really two much I guess and had to take them in my hands, very very good copies with nice patina, unfortunatelly , I didn't had my camera to take some pictures, so watch out about these two, soon we might see them around on the net popping up Paja, I do not have file of copies, my mistake,as I know to recognize them so there was no need, but I will bring a couple of pieces from recent sales on Ebay, in order to refresh the subject. What I wish to advice you and focus in, is to have good literature, books knowdays do miracles and learn a lot from them, reference books are not so expensive, ONE expensive badge to buy and found out that is a copy, is enough spending, instead to have the reference material to study. If you ain't sure, bring the photos here, there are some good collectors and guys that "bother" with the subject for years and won't hesitate to share with you some knowledge for your eventual purchase.... My best wishes and Merry Christmas to all
    12. Emonlaib sold from September some 15 Yugoslavian Partisan Stars II class, come on, that's a joke guys,I feel really pity for all these people buying such stuff. In the following link you can see a superb quality Partisan Star II class from the seller http://www.ebay.com/itm/YUGOSLAVIA-SERBIA-RUSSIA-ORDER-OF-PARTISAN-STAR-2ND-CLASS-NO-2471-MEDAL-/381085937936?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item58ba7df110&nma=true&si=hFDlNtaUFsuQpuGsjWV%252FH2xCyZE%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
    13. Greetings Pajo my friend, That was the famous "Georgetown Hoard", the guy sold around 5 Ravna Gora triangle badges, all Full original and in Mint condition. Number 003601 achieved the record sale of $1.494 dollars, a sum extraordinary for that badge, but there were some hard bettors and the price went high up. I reckon that the story is right, I think simply that they guy that owned them, was at the camp at that time and he just grab a few from the Box, thus the close numbering and the totally Mint condition, simply as that I guess... More rare than this rare badge thought is the ones with the LATINIC P for the initial letter of King Peter II and not the Cyrillic one, awarded to the few Bosnian Chetnics. But I doubt you will find around one in the near future.... Here is a nice example stucked on a .....lighter, great Military Art set I suppose
    14. Unfortunatelly ,this badge is a Copy, and I am almost certain that even the RE-SELLER on Ebay doesn't even know it, so beware out there for such badges... Good Copy, but Copy indeed, the actual SELLER that the guy bought from him for around 250 Euros, wisely stated that "I do not know if the badge is original or not" and when you hear such things..... not to mention he is covered that he didn't really knew...
    15. 40 Years of YPA Tito's Medal ha? Nice catch indeed. So, this young Wermacht Officer has been awarded from Tito multiple times, Hitler will twisting in his grave I suppose
    16. From whom did you bought Yugoslavian, People's Hero order if I may ask? Beware, because there are copies around you see, a friendly suggestion always....
    17. Greetings Rogi, Authentic piece, no worries about your medal.Of course with original period Ribbon. I like the wreath too..... Nice find
    18. Greetigns Miguel, The medal Bar as it is, it's original construction,no doubt about it, just I think there is an addition when it comes to medals itself. For example ,the 4th and the last one doesn't fit in this medal Bar (4th is the Best shooter medal where it should be the Silver Medal for Zealous Service and the last one is the Commemorative medal of Serbian Turkish War where it should be the WW I Commemorative King Peter's Cross 1914-1918). We have several examples that the Albanian retreat medal of Serbia Kingdom attached in wrong places, what we have here seems is a low rank officer that had big adventures and troubles during Albania Golgotha passing, thus for him, this medal have special weight, thus special treatment at first place on his Bar instead of the Milos Obilic Gold Bravery medal of WW I as you wisely noticed. NOT SO uncommon I should add
    19. Indeed it's a box for Order of Takovo 4th class from Anton Fürst.
    20. Greetings JBLFloyd, it's from Greek Royal Navy, and to be precise a medal of the "Athletic Association of the Royal Navy". Most of such medals are minted during 1935, so I suppose this one is from the same period.
    21. Serbian Medal Bar of a Soldier with Gold Karageorge Cross.
    22. Rare Serbian Medal Bar with the Greek and French Military Cross
