    1. This, by the way, is the third liner variant I have seen....and the lowest quality ironically. You can see that there is a name inked in, and also another marking maybe unit.....?
    2. Thanks Paul, I kept very busy.....it's a disease. The helmets are marked usually just with the inked name of the owner in a couple cases there is additional marking that I assume to be unit names or something to that effect. Here is a really nice one with camo netting and inked name/unit?
    3. As you can imagine these leather liners are pretty stiff now after who knows how long out in the desert. I'm surprised they even used them.
    4. Well, since I started with helmets I guess I'll keep going. This one here is pretty cool as it sports a Leather fingered liner with leather chin strap. One variant of lining I have noticed so far.
    5. This one is pretty damaged I found it in a cement foxhole at Sadaam International in 2003.Those positions had been pounded the day before.
    6. Hi Paul, I don't think its kevlar. I have another one I brought back from my first tour and they seem to be somekind of fiber composite or something. Here is the other one.
    7. The inside, one of three liner styles I have encountered so far.
    8. Here is a well used helmet, this one is green with the older webbing style, which ironically is better quality then the newer issue. Inside also sports a leather sweat liner much like our American ones, and is named to the soldier and unit marked on the inside.
    9. Hi all, well my units containers have finally arrived and I am being reunited with the rest of what I brought home with me. First is a small group of items from a regular Army soldier. Nothing flashy here this set shows how bad off a regular Joe was in Iraq. Helmet has no liner, and yes its the one he used, cap and pants are old Chocolate chip pattern, bayo is unit marked on th eleather and Imanaged to get one AK-47 mag as well. So all but the sweater and boots which he was still using everyday. No worries guys he got plenty in trade .
    10. Not sure what Ed will know but from what I have heard from a couple of different places is that is in fact a Victory Day badge. To commemerate victory over Iran. Maybe Ed will have more.
    11. Here is one that just arrived, a nice Steel SHuCo 5 stem variant. All completely magnetic and now I finally have both magnetic SHuCo's.
    12. I saw it over there as well, and I own only two Kreigsmarine badges...neither of which are an E-boat but that hardware is definitely consistent with accepted Heer badges from BH Mayer. Looks like a good badge to me, but again my experience in this field is lacking.
    13. Update to post #2: the last insignia on the bottom right is for the SSO, Sadaam's security organization. I have a friend in Balad who was former military and he is giving me info as he can. Keep your fingers crossed he may be sending me a SSO Colonels uniform...I hope...man do I hope.
    14. Oh my Dolf...these are wonderful...I know nothing about them at all but what a breath of fresh air!
    15. Thanks guys for the kind words. @ Paul, the cabinet was amde by a small furniture making store in Kitzingen Germany. Yes the light was built right in which is just great. It's amazing what a little light can do for a display.
    16. 4th shelf is home to my favorite hollowback IAB's at the front left. At the front right is my SHuCo IAB family, and taking up the rear are some of my unmarked IAB's and my only wound badge with a document. That's all for now the rest of them are currently homeless as I wait for another display.
    17. The third shelf houses all off my remaining maker marked IAB's who are patiently waiting for their twin .
    18. Second shelf is home to my IAB silver and bronze twins as well as a few of my wound badges.
    19. Ok top shelf of the cabinet houses my PAB's and according to maker their IAB brothers.
    20. I recently purchased a new display and a couple more badges arrived today so I figured I'd post it here. Some members here have already seen it but some probably haven't so here it goes. First shot is just the busy side of my "War Room".
