    1. Thanks Rob! I found it and posted some of mine that I have already photographed. Now I will have to dig out the rest when I have more time as well. Tim
    2. And of course, the U.S. I have more, some with the issue boxes, and one that has a re-issue bar included with other original issue bars. Just haven't photographed everything at this point. I'll have to dig. Tim
    3. Arriving late to the party as usual. I have several and not all are photographed at this point, but I'll post the ones I have. Tim French:
    4. Last one... Here's the reverse set-up. Note the longer hinge, rivet style and of course the maker's mark which is classic Meybauer font. Also, for those that know what to look for..the teardrop die flaw. Tim
    5. A closer look at the eagle; has a lot of details as the condition is near mint (really mint) but I think the original lacquer is still there and reflects a lot of light in the photos. Still, these have ugly beaks IMO. Tim
    6. I pasted the two sides together to save posts, but if you need larger PICS, let me know. Tim
    7. Well, the good news is I found one of my 3.5 discs with the old raw photos. I had a 2nd one with the case in detail, but that one is gone. I think these will do for now but, I eventually will need to reshoot this one as the PICS just don't do the badge justice; just too much glare to really see the finite details. Enjoy! Tim With the case (gold lettering)
    8. Okay John! I checked my old file PICS and must have got rid of them (was never happy with them anyway), so will retake the PICS tomorrow and post in another day or two tops. Tim
    9. Hi Rob! I have always loved the WWI Victory Medals and am still trying to complete my set. I would really love to see the different Czech pieces you have for comparison. I have a couple myself (O'Spainel) but do not have one with the coarser grain ribbon yet. I always took an affectionate preference towards the American version but, I personally think the Italian design has to be the most inspiring. Tim
    10. Looks in nice shape! Congrats You don't see many cases with the silver lettering either. I have an early cased buntmetal Meybauer in mint minus condition of you are interested in comparison photos? Tim
    11. Hello Artan, Really? I was not aware that the Albanian government did not produce their own (partisan star) awards. I knew some of the earlier pieces were Soviet produced, but thought Albania took that production over? Who/where is PRÄWEMA (manufacturer)? I had thought this was Albanian but it must be another Soviet/Russian maker? They are unofficially thought to have produced the types with the larger (32mm) unmarked screw discs, but that is not confirmed as far as I know. Okay then, I am understanding that the first and second class awards had one version made of precious metals (Soviet produced) and another version in either gilt (1st class) or silvered bronze (2nd class) and the 3rd class had only one version in copper or copper bronze metal? Tim
    12. Yes, hard to understand sometimes; can only imagine what collectors 50 years from now will wonder or conclude on the issue then! Thank you! Do we have good clear closeup shots of the different styles anywhere? Tim
    13. Just trying to keep the thread going here. Any opinions on pricing these days? What would be a good estimate for a nice 2nd or 3rd class award? Is there a way to tell the differences between, say a 1950 vs 1970 or later made piece? Can anyone post some shots of the differences between Soviet made and Albanian made pieces? Thanks! Tim Here's the only one I currently have; 1st class:
    14. Hi Anatoly! Yes, I see that appears to be the case here. I was not aware of the different styles. Is there a reason or perhaps timeline that explains the differences (I/e: different period or manufacturer)? The one I show is in the same ballpark of serial numbers, so my guess is the timeline of manufacture is not a factor. Tim
    15. I never really understood the Lion Order and these are the first ones I've seen with the palm devices. Always thought they were strictly for meritorious services to the Congo and later (for a brief timeframe) incorporated into the Belgian award system overall. Thought the order was more for dignitaries and people involved in making improvements to the Congo; similar to that of the African Star Order. Definately a sharp design! Back to the victory medals...I especially like that one Rob showed with the Czech style ribbon! Made me go back and dig up my PICS of the only Belgian Victory Medal I have. Tim
    16. Maybe not Soviet design as the PIC is not that good and I really can't tell. This is more what I expect of the IKOM disc and you can see the differences in letter placements between this one and those in the group; there appear to be differences even among the group discs. Did they have variations to the disc styles? Tim
