Soviet Comments & Opinions on a Badge of Honor
Riley1965 replied to Stogieman's topic in USSR: Soviet Orders, Medals & Decorations
I hate to say it But I have to agree with the others. I think that the PMD serial number range was the clincher. Then again, I could (and hopefully) wrong. Regards, Doc -

I, too, am concerned about the reverse. While I don't have a screwback just a Concave reverse suspension, some of the details on the reverse plus the serial number just don't fit. I hope that I am wrong. Doc -

Ed, You read my mind!! -
This is my latest aquisition. It's a WWI Pennsylvania National Guard Victory medal. It came boxed with the ribbon slide in a paper packet.

Here's my Order of the Red Banner, Type2 Variation 2. It has repaiared and missing enamel and was proudly worn regularly until recently. S/N 44528

The Polish Order of Virtuti Militari was established 200 years ago by King Stanislaw August Poniatowski. It is the highest military decoration awarded for gallantry above and beyond the call of duty. It is the equivalent of America's Medal of Honor or Britain's Victoria cross. It is awarded in 5 classes.

Absolutely Stunning!!! I've never seen the presentation box for any Soviet award. You are indeed a blessed man!!! -
Actually this one didn't come with the "fork". However several of the medals from the set did have the fork suspension.
