    1. Dan, Thanks for another picture of Jahn!! Ed, I Love that uniform Doc
    2. Tom, Gerd does his similar to the way I mount my ODMs. I buy the "Do-it-Yourself" Shadow boxes from A Major Chain of Craft stores (I don't know what you have Down Under). For screwpost Orders and badges I drill a hole and use the retaining disc to keep it in place. With the cases I use they have the soft side of velcro for the backing and includes velcro. I cut a piece and slide it under the pin on the suspension and then attach it where I want it. For individual groups I either buy a small shadow box like above or use a frame and let the medals press against the glass like Gerd does. Small pins can also be inserted about half way between the cloth and the hard back. The medal's pin back is then placed over the pins on the back board. I hope that I didn't throw to much at ya all at once. If you have ANY questions about any mounting variation PLEASE ask!! Doc

    19. Moore, That is a very nice present!!! It one of many Soviet Campaign medals. If you decide to collect them I would suggest purchasing the medals WITH the award document. Some of the medals and documents for a few of the them are a little bit costly, but well worth the price. Ask any questions you may have. Doc

    22. Moore, To me it looks like a poor repair job at re-attaching the ring. However, Zulus does have a point on the detail. This may be due to "wear and tear". For now, I think you have a good-fine condition Medal for the Defense of the Caucasus. Doc
    23. Ed, Honecker's name was on a list of German recipients of the Title HSU I had from another forum. I've been able to confirm all but him. There are those who say yes and those who say no. I need to get a hold of the HSU books and give them a good look over. Doc
