    1. Do not clean or polish it!!! The patina (Tarnish) is the natural wear of the metal. To polish it would detract from it's appearance and value. Doc
    2. The mint mark is Monetny Dvor. It is an early Type 2 with screwpost base. The Serial numbers for this variation have been observed in the 11,849 - 319,702 range. Doc

    7. Here's a rare Order of the Red Star, discovered by Paul McDaniel. It's a type 2 Medium Mondvor mint mark slightly curved s/n 8741. Observed serial number in the 8700 range. Used with permission. Doc

    14. Rick, I don't know where they came up with that chart. I was simply showing the chart from their book. Believe me I wish I had hard facts on the s/n by dates awarded. But, I don't. I have to rely on people like you and the reference books I have. Shishkov & Muzalevsky's two volume reference books are where the chart came from. I didn't mean to "ruffle any feathers". Best, Doc
